Check out these items to replace some of the ones you currently have.

I notice you said you don't really count sockets.. you should since it's part of the item budget.

Well I was looking at some Nagrand quest rewards. Here's stuff from the same lvl 65 quest:

59 DPS gun

+14 dmg wand

This is a downgrade from what I currently have from ZG. I never played a hunter so what is that hunter gun comparable to?
+14 dmg and half a crit is better than +18dmg.

Yes I get that things have +crit, and that if you take all the stats the items are indeed upgrades. My point however is that right now, mages doing Naxx can have around +600-700 dmg, yet they don't have ridiculously low crit rates, or unable to survive in PvP due to sub-par hp. What they're telling us is now to be competitive, you NEED to lower your +dmg by a lot to gain back your crit rate and increase hp as other classes have, yet I see no such downgrades for melees.

It does change with sockets, and I know there's a +7 dmg one. But really wasn't the socket system supposed to allow customization? Are we gonna be surprised when a majority of PvE mages are going to have every single socket slot filled up with the exact same gem just to gain back the +dmg they had at 60?

More importantly, what's up with the horrible itemization for those of us who can't crit? :'( There's practically no viable Affliction Warlock/Shadow Priest gear if you've already got AQ/Naxx stuff.

On the other hand, those of you who can't crit are unaffected by Resilience. Perhaps raid bosses will have the Resilience stat?

At Veridian Dynamics, we can even make radishes so spicy, people can't eat them. But we're not, because people can't eat them.

>:O do not give them ideas..... making crit even less valuable for pve is not what we need.

You're starting to compare Naxx gear to quest/5man, like I said earlier please wait for Karazhan to do stuff like that. Compare raid gear to raid gear, not to pvp gear/questing gear..... From what I've seen the only things that are really repalcing raid gear is for offspecs and Rogues. Rogues because of them allowing agil and +ap to be on the same item again.

As for your "yet I see no such downgrades for melees" comment please compare the current epic pvp set for warriors against the level 70 gladiators set for them. The grass is always greener on the other side isn't it... ?

btw you can get a +12dmg gem, +10 spell crit rating gem and +6dmg and +5 crit rating.

is that statement from, what you've seen linked by others, or is that from firsthand experience?

Both my "main" characters are those 2 classes (or atleast, want to be when the xpac hits).
