I'm a little curious about what tips people have for speeding up Naxxramas clearing. This also applies to those on the latter progression of the zone, because the faster you get through the earlier bosses, the quicker you can pick up where you left off the prior week. Basically, I want to try and guarantee we're clearing the zone in 2 days with the new patch coming out. Spending 5 days of the week raiding when there is PvP to be had is.... :(.

A little background; I'm the raid leader for a KT killing guild and I'm really interested in hearing what other people do to speed up their raids. We're currently fluctuating between 2-4 days of raiding for a full clear. Our best currently is 2 days, but that was due some luck on our part. I don't foresee us being able to repeat that unless I figure out some ways to shave a couple hours off the raid.

What we currently do on a semi-decent week
1st Day: Plague Wing (including Loatheb), Abom Wing, Razuvious, Spider Wing = ~ 5 hours
2nd Day: Gothik -> 4HM -> Sapphiron (This usually takes us the better part of 4 hours)
3rd Day: Kel'Thuzad = (Anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours)

We wipe quite a bit. I don't know if it's the same for most guilds, but we usually can't guarantee a 1 shot on a boss until about 2 months after we've killed them for the first time. We're constantly fine-tuning our boss strategies for more comfortable kills, but there is a lot of error with the higher raiding turn-over we’ve had.

One thing I've found that substantially speeds up clear time is doing Loatheb directly after Heigan. I know a lot of guilds get world buffs for this fight, but we've never really found this necessary (probably because we're alliance). We usually start with Noth and I make a Loatheb suitable group and use it for the 2 preceding encounters: (12-14 healers, 3 paladins, no arms warriors and no more than 2 warlocks and 4 hunters). I usually bust out 5-6 supreme powers and use the remaining time for Abom or Spider Wing.

Another thing that I've started doing that seems to help a lot is setting up raid comp/groups during the trash to the next boss. This seems to allow us to pull most bosses a couple minutes quicker because I'm not sitting there fiddling with the groups while everyone is buffed and ready to go.

I know most of the other raiders in here have some similar suggestions of wisdom they can depart to us. I'd love to hear your suggestions and opinions, or even questions, so let them loose!

Which direction do you clear the zone? Why?
What are things you've found that keep the easy bosses from slowing down the raid (due to boredom)?

What always seemed optimal to me was to combine DK-->Abom as one clear, using your 4H flasks to carry through Patchwerk, for efficiency, then to clear everything else, leaving Loatheb as the last boss standing. Then use world buffs + Supreme Powers on Loatheb and let those carry through the last two bosses. World buffs make more of a difference on Sapphiron than on any other fight in the game, in my experience. Especially the ZG buff. We've generally aimed at just having Loatheb up going into Thursday, but we also don't really raid for more than 3-4 hours a night. Usually more like 3 except starting 30 minutes late due to queues and people getting home from work.

We just made our first 2 day clear 2 weeks ago which was extremely nice, I love having time off after raiding 6 nights a week for the past few months.

Heres what we do:
Day 1: Spider Wing -> Abom Wing -> Noth, Heigan -> Razuvious, Gothik, 4HM
Day 2: World Buffs -> Loatheb -> Sapphiron -> Kel'Thuzad

Seems to work ok for us, usually. This week though we had some troubles on Thaddius with some extremely odd debuff behavior resulting in a few wipes which set us back around an hour, so we cut it off after Razuvious.

What bosses are you having trouble 1 shotting? Gothik/4H and KT are the only ones I could really see wiping to much.

We've just been doing Deathknight Wing, Spider Wing and Noth + Heigan on Tuesday, Abomination Wing and a ZG clear on Wednesday, then Loatheb through KT on Thursday. If you really wanted to do it in 2 days then I would just add the abom wing to the first night and use world buffs for the last 3 bosses since they help the most.

this is pretty much exactly what we do. tuesday night is DK -> abom -> spider, barring any weird things happening, we clear all of it in about 4 1/2 hours. wednesday nights we kill noth/heigan, then port to get world buffs to smoosh loatheb/sapphiron/kel.

there's obviously no cure for time lost on wiping other than "stop doing it" or "res + buff faster", but there's ways to cut down on downtime everywhere. as soon as a boss goes down, anyone who isn't up for loot moves on to clear the next trash pack. cut down your ressing/buffing times. if you're swapping anyone in/out of the raid, make sure they're at the naxx entrance and ready. have you entire guild set their hearthstones to LHC in case something weird comes up. stuff like that.

We always go Noth -> Heigan first.

Then where we go it all really depends on how the raid is doing, how much suck people are bringing, and who is online and around.

Wednesday is clean up day.

Thursday is Loatheb -> Sapph -> KT for us.

But, depending on our level of suck (wipes on bosses, wipes to trash, figuring out what to do, where to go, moral of the raid etc) we can do it all in 2 Nights, like we did last night (Noth -> Heigan -> Raz -> Full Spider -> Gothik -> 4H -> Full Abom) and then leave our normal World Buff // Flask bosses for one night!

Gothik, Sapphiron, KT. Sapphiron gives us the most trouble. Our Gothik strategy is in dire need of repair and we seem to get at least 1 attempt a week on Sapphiron where all the ice tombs are on 1 side (and it's usually our first... when he's at 30%)

We wipe to Thaddius occasionally, and since we have 1 prot warrior and usually raid with about 14 healers, we wipe on Patchwerk from time to time.

Does anyone else find that raid morale is particularly low after doing Spider Wing? I wonder if it's because of the lack of challenge from the bosses (I don't think we've wiped on any of the bosses in that zone for a few months now).
