I see movement speed as something that the player can make up for on their own, be it by making an attempt to just heighten your reflexes to such environmental things, or making a note that you're slow on something when you're learning the encounter so you pay extra attention to it, things like that. Meanwhile, there's nothing the player can do to make up for those extra stats, they're always going to be adding on.
Try running down a tunnel when your flag carrier has it and you don't.

Or running away from someone who doesn't have it. Though in PvE, I have +5 spirit too except for Ossirian (off the top of my head).

What? You can't run 8% faster with "skill."

Try running behind a person and backstabbing them when they have minor speed and you don't. It's painful.

In theory, sure you can be good enough to make it but for people like me on a toaster, I need every little bit of help. Even if you got a good computer, wouldn't you say it's a good thing to get to places FASTER so you can start healing sooner? Just because you don't necessarily need it to stay alive doesn't mean it can't be an asset.

I've considered putting it on my main boots (BF) a few times already, but never did it. I do have a spare pair of boots (PvP, the blue ones) with the run enchant on it, but I don't really use those (quite crappy compared to BF). I got me that spare pair for Twin Emps actually, but I figured that the 3.5% dodge on my BF is more useful on that fight than the 0% dodge on the PvP boots. I'd only end up arriving as first with 3.5% less chance to dodge the uppercut (i'm a dodgefreak). I'm no real fan of putting it on main boots since alot of fights require little or no movement, but after seeing some comments here I might give it a try.

Are you sure it doesn't stack with the hunter aura btw? I seem to remember my Itemrack automatically equiping my runspeed boots each time I got the aura.

Minor speed enchant saves you 8% of your time running. Everywhere. From bank to AH, corpse runs, gathering mats, running away from aoe, chasing enemies in Bg's. I still don't know why i'm the only playe rin my guild praising this enchant. Everyone still stick with +7 stam.

P.S : This enchant can be dangerous. Being the first to get out of the gluth tunnel and getting aggro is quite surprising ! :D

I actually give our MT (one of the few people I think *should* have +7 sta) a head start on Gluth for exactly this reason.

Its on all my boots except my tank boots--I'm torn between +stam and speed there. Is speed better than 7 stam on a tank? For every ossy, there's a vael.

Minor Speed is the only enchant I've used on boots in the last year on all my toons, seeing people put +7 stam on pvp blue/epic boots makes me sad :(

The only way to let me change my foot enchant is to spec fleet footed in BC. Else I would feel crippled on my rogue. Btw I am one of the last to jump into the gluth tunnel. Go figure :D

P.S. I think fleet footet and this enchant might be very interesting: http://thottbot.com/beta?sp=27954

I have a second pair of Dreadnaughts with that enchant for 4hm

The cost of the new enchant is pretty horrible though. 8 shards is going to cost a lot now that we can't shred blues with the Disenchanter profession anymore :/

Make good friends with an enchanter who likes to run instances?

By "better job," you, of course, mean give a bigger speed boost to a Hunter. This is true; however, one shouldn't forget the very annoying - and many times lethal - part of getting dazed on hit while in Cheetah. There have been times during Razorgore fights where switching into aspect at the incorrectly estimated moment has gotten me killed (running into cleaves or mage AoE...game over.)

I've used minor speed since I was a wee boy. A couple months ago when I was in a stam-whore phase I thought "well, I can just go travel form when I need to move fast." This was a mistake, and I'm back to the speed enchant.
