I don't have any On Use trinkets like ZHC, so I won't find those of interest.
I am curious... what is the response for your bug mount macro?

There's no such option as zone:xxx, right? I just tried to get that good old AQ-mount-macro done, but either I'm really missing something or it's currently not possible :( I'm not really experienced with macro/scripting, so if anyone has an idea..

I usually try to play with as few macros that make decisions for me as possible. Decursive being one of the only macros/mods I ever used that would "play for me". Healing mods, Mana Conserve mods(back in the day) and spell cast macros are a big no no for me. Maybe im unique in this.
You're not. I /cackle at druids/shamans that are complaining that their ZHC/NS/HW macros are broken and won't be able to use it for Gluth (at least their old ones, there's probably new ones that work for it). I don't find it particularly hard to cast ZHC (if I'm wearing it) when I see the warning, then slam down NS and HW buttons when it hits.
stop that elitist crap. i'm not using macro, i'm not using addons bla bla bla
depending on lag and human reaction, simple ns macro will heal tank 1 sec faster then mashing buttons.

/cast Nature's Swiftness
/stopcasting
/cast [help] Healing Wave; [target=player] Healing Wave

this will work, you can probably add error turning off in case ns will be on cd. Too bad it wont cast healing wave if ns on cd, but there is nothing you can do about it.

Does anyone know how to change the macro icon as the spell changes when you use macros like

/cast [help] Healing Wave; Earth Shock

and use the ? macro icon. It only shows feedback for HW, but I would like it to show ES when the target is an enemy. Can't figure it out. :\

If I understand you correctly, if you make your macro Icon the "?" it will change it according to whats next in you cast.

I think there is two on my sever, but I have literally never seen it. Only ever see gurg in origimar and he is usally on foot. The other is in the hands of someone from Ret or Aurora, or so I am told.

*edit* Its gotta be the link thats breaking that macro. I mean... it cant be the /r or the text.

I fixed my previous post, sorry for the confusion.

That's what I thought too, but it's always LHW even when I cast ES. To top it off, it doesn't show the shock cooldown either. I think I'm leaving something important out.

Does /castrandom just pick one of the spells in the list randomly? Wouldn't you want to use Revenge whenever it's up?

Well, if you mash the button quickly enough you practically will do just that :P

I'm going to guess that the "?" only changes for /castsequence, not conditionals in /cast.

/cast random seems to lag or wont go off for me when i use it. Such as i try calling all three pollys.

Fungi cause the great majority, an estimated two-thirds, of infectious plant diseases. They include all white and true rusts, smuts, needle casts, leaf curls, mildew, sooty molds, and anthracnoses; most leaf, fruit, and flower spots; cankers; blights; scabs, root, stem, fruit, and wood rots; wilts; leaf, shoot, and bud galls; and many others. -Encyclopedia Britannica

I took this macro from the Hunter macro thread link provided here, and changed this macro:

Cast Spells Based On Modifier Keys
/cast [nomodifier] Aspect of the Hawk
/cast [modifier:ctrl] Aspect of the Monkey
/cast [modifier:alt] Aspect of the Cheetah

to this macro, to suit my controls better:

/cast [modifier:shift] Aspect of the Cheetah
/cast [modifier:ctrl] Aspect of the Monkey
/cast [modifier:alt] Aspect of the Hawk

But neither seems to work for me.

I also used this macro to help me with my coordinates while the major ui sites were down:

/script px,py=GetPlayerMapPosition("player")
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(format("[ %s ] %i , %i",GetZoneText(),px*100,py*100));

to my surprise it is working, I thought /script got removed altogether

you need to add a line to your macro:

# show <spell>

Whatever spell you asign will be the cooldown the button shows whn you use it.

Like you saw, /script isn't removed completely. You just can't cast, use items or target using /script. Even /script EquipSet("2h"); with Itemrack works fine, since it's not using items but equipping items.

IIRC [modifier:x] was broken at some point of Beta and was fixed. It's possible that this live patch is old enough that [modifier:x] is broken.

Why don't you make that macro, try it out, and report back?

I was messing around with the modifier controls, and they work, but only if you're clicking the macro with the mouse. If you have the macro bound to a keyboard hit, it seemed to always act as if there wasn't a modifier.

Ah, you're correct. I hope Blizzard will improve this some day so non-clickers can use these too. :)

Here are some useful macros I've found so far.

/use [target=player] Heavy Runecloth Bandage
Bandages you regardless of target.

/use 13 , /use 14
Basically a macro for trinket menu now.

My personal favorite,
/use [mounted] <your mount name here>
/cast [stealth] Cheap Shot; Stealth
This will dismount if you're mounted then cast stealth. If you're not mounted, and not stealthed, it will stealth. If you're stealthed and not mounted it will cheap shot. Replace CS with preferred opener.

Is it possible to have a one button press bandage macro (a bit like yours, regardless of target), that would prioritize Battleground bandages in BG and use heavy runecloth anywhere else?

No, in order to prioritize one item over another you need to be able to use logic statements to determine if you even have those items, and logic conditionals are forbidden from macros.

Is there any way to do the following:

if($Skill.isNotOnCD && $Rage >= $Skill.cost)
     /cast $Skill
else
     /cast $AnotherSkill
I've looked around through much of the new UI stuff but cant seem to find conditionals for 'Do I have a certain amount of Rage/Mana/Energy?' or 'is this skill on CD?' :-/.

I'm specifically trying to combine my Maul & Mangle (Bear) buttons so that I will mangle if I have 15 Rage & it isn't on CD but I'll queue a maul otherwise.

I am not your personal Frost Deathknight knowledge base. If you have a simple question, ask in the simple questions thread; if you have a more esoteric, specific, or complicated question, ask in the spec-appropriate thread.

My PM, WoWmail, and, especially, chat boxes are NOT the appropriate places for these questions.
