The rage cost was (presumably) the reason the ability was chosen in the first place. If it has the same effect as two other skills (bringing the Rogue out of stealth), why not pick the cheaper one? Of course, you could argue that an extra 5 rage for the slow or the attack power reduction is worth it, but it's not like there are no advantages to using Challenging.

I've had this problem for a month or two (long before patch 2.0). To be precise, I've been disconnected when I jump off a boat while mounted, but I assume it's essentially the same problem.

Challenging Shout is on a fairly lengthy cooldown. It wouldn't make much sense to be the first shout you would use as a 'go to' for destealthing if half the time you can't use it. Personally i'd much rather pay the 5 extra rage and put a dent into the Rogue's AP while i'm at it.
I would assume he hit the wrong hotkey.

Under the situation you have 5-9 rage and a rogue just stealths Challenging shout is the best move a warrior could do. Or if the warrior had 15-19 rage and wanted to destealth so he could intercept. My point is there are circumstances were challenging shout is an optimal move and so disputing the warriors ability based solely on that is silly. Personally I would usually use demo or piercing howl but challenging will also get the job done.
Challenging shout however rocks versus hunters for getting their pets to break their traps :)

I'm sure it's quite shocking, but not quite the effect I was going for.

Of course the solution is to put Backstab in the same slot that Ambush normally occupies. :P As nice as it is to give your opponent a literal ass-kicking, an ass-stabbing probably would've been better. :D

This one has me scratching my head: it looks like they changed a mind vision mechanic to prevent you from seeing distant mobs from the point-of-view of your MC'd target. Pre-patch, checking for Jed Runewalker in UBRS was very simple. You'd target Anvilcrack from the entrance, mind vision him, watch as all the mobs became visible in that hallway, and see if Jed was there. Today I tried this and only mobs within ~5 yards of my MC'd target were visible. This prevented me seeing any of the mobs down the hallways, and also kept me from being able to mind vision my way through the instance. That is, once I was MVing Anvilcrack, I couldn't see any other mob groups to jump to, just the ones directly in the cluster. What a pat walked into view, it faded out, again, when it was just a bit away. Anyone confirm? I wonder if this is to prevent MV-skipping to look for rare spawns, or if it was due to some technical reason.

Same thing with Eye of Killrogg. I was soloing in DM East for somer repair money when I discovered that if I scouted ahead with my Eye, it wouldnt show me mobs, but they would still attack the Eye and kill it. Strangely they also added a slowfall effect to it so it stopped dying from every bump it hit.

After doing Kel'thuzad tonight, it seemed as if all his ability timers were nerfed. Most notably his MC seemed to be along twice as long. Also, phase 1 seemed to have far fewer spawns, has anyone noticed this?

We had a few ABs go bonkers on us tonight. The gates would never open, and the flags would never spawn. You could get outside the gate by dying and rezzing outside, but if someone killed you and looted your insignia, you were a ghost forever.

I've noticed it sometimes doing so, but not always doing so. I've had it happen once or twice, but usually it just works like it always did. No idea whether it's intended or not however.

Off topic, but you've never needed mind vision to check for Jed; just cram yourself into the non-mob-filled corner closest to the UBRS door and spam "/tar jed" for a minute or two. Or if you can stealth, go to the door, and spam that for 10-30 secs. (Fond memories of farming 2 reeds in a few hours, with 4 mages and one feral druid. :D)

Which door do you mean here? The one at the beginning that needs the UBRS key, or the one that opens after you clear the alcoves full of orcs?

The one that needs the key. There are orc packs on both sides. Go as far as you can between the sides without aggroing anyone (if you aggro, just run out and try again). Then stand there for a while and try to target him, he walks around in a big range so he can be hard to find (ie you have to stand there a long time).
If he's not there, go out and reset instance through the UI and repeat until you find him or you're too bored to continue :>

Couldn't find when searching, but I thought this might be an appropriate thread for my question:
Does anyone know the level 70 Agility conversion ratios for different classes? Mainly what I'm looking for is AGI > Dodge, AGI > Crit vs Dodge rating/crit rating at level 70 for rogues and warriors. I'm trying to evaluate different stats and the "ratings" make it all a bit more convoluted than it once was.

How about "Burning Crusade Rogue Abilities/Talents" (103 pages worth) or "TBC - NDA lifted - Q & A Time" (123 pages worth) which are constantly floating on the front page?

That's the one thing I can't stand about this forum. You have one 100+ page thread that supposedly has all information ever, but it's impossible to search within the thread, so you have to browse through 99 pages only to find out that the information you seek hasn't been posted yet, and so you have to post to the end of this massive thread, making it more complicated and convoluted (and by that point, completely off topic) and just hope that someone actually responds (honestly, people usually do respond in a helpful way, but I still find this annoying).
I know you guys are aware of the problem, and I'd read somewhere you were looking into more subforums to address it, but for now, it really is a major annoyance. And yes, I agree that probably 70% of the new threads didn't need to be created.
Sorry for the derail.

You can have searches return links to posts, instead of threads. It took me a while (and many frustrations) to discover this, but it's on the search option page.
