Anything you put up on the Mannoroth AH is selling for whatever you put it up for. Is this happening anywhere else?

I can only guess he is saying that everything you put up on the AH is ended up sold (giving you gold) no matter if someone buys it or not. This would be a huge mistake if true and at least the WoW forums post about gold companies not buying gold (can get it free from AH) would support it.
Edit - This is all just interpretation of the few things I have read btw, I do not have first hand experience as I go to work during the day.

Well I tossed some items up yesterday for prices they don't normally sell for (slightly higher then average) and plan on checking it out as they should have expired by now when I get home.

I put up 2 auctions yesterday, Flask of Distilled Wisdom and Design: Ruby Crown of Destruction. I got gold for the Flasks (it was a bid) but the Design went unsold. Nothing shaky happening on Garona.

You should check this out sometime http://www.warcraftauctionhouse.com/ . It works pretty well when it is up and running (maybe 2 hours behind). If you like to track stuff when you are bored at work its a nice tool.

Basically what's happening is you can toss up Nexus, Large Brilliant Shards, anything really and it is selling. Level 1's are buying it and there are even level 60's buying items too. I haven't seen anything yet from Blizzard about this, seems like it's just Mannoroth.

Could blizzard be planning on removing a bunch of gold from the economy?
I'm being relatively uncreative here, but unless people are stacking up spare mats for tBC crafting, I don't see a reason for why this should be occuring.
On the other hand, I picked up 5 nexus for like 40g the other day - so maybe my server has the opposite situation going on.

Perhaps someone is playing a crazy hunch or trying to corner the enchanting mats market now that low-level enchanters can no longer DE? I know some guys in my guild anticipated a Nexus price rise, now that people can't just drop a profession for temporary enchanting to shard a bunch of old gear.

Is it something other than enchanting mats? These are in an upward trend due to the patch change with enchanting.

So you place items on the Auction House and people buy them? Some even on level 1 bank alts? This is fascinating. This feels like normal post-patch "____ does ____ more than before the patch" speculation.

I've noticed a sharp uptick in some of the materials used in the better weapon enchants. I don't know if this reflects increased demand already, or if sellers merely anticipate that the easier access to Rank 14 PvP weapons means that folks will pay double for enchants.

I havent checked nexus post patch, but pre-patch, half of the gear that I had would sell more to a vendor than disenchanting.

Items are selling for 100k gold. Yeah One Hundred Thousand gold. We're talking about Nexus going for thousands or basically any number you can imagine. I just used Nexus as an example because that was what I noticed first. Flasks, Runecloth, Herbs, or anything is selling for insane prices (think over 1,000 gold for a single Nexus).

Alot of the macro,ui changes and such have probably put a decent crimp in botting. Or just could be plain old "the servers (aka world) are ending prepare sinners prepare!" and people hoarding. Or could be plain AH bug,or just plain unfounded spam.

Reopening due to reports from another source that strikes me as too similar to this to be unreliable, unless it's some bizarre intentional campaign of misinformation:
Apparently someone on Manno alliance side figured out a way to dupe gold and was giving it out by the millions on the IF bridge. A guildy of mine was saying that a level one kept begging him to accept 100K from him.
What's worse is that the AH has gone insane. Every blue is up for 50K and there aren't any purples left because the people who took the gold are trying to spend it quickly.
I really hope they can get these people, and also if it's a bug in the 2.0 patch itself, it may affect every realm.
All I can say is.....rollback?

This is all confirmed. I put a Flask on the AH for 50k, and a Large Brilliant Shard for 70k. They sold pretty much immediately. HOWEVER - my account has just been closed. Doubt I'll bother to attempt to get it reopened, barring a very good explanation as to how they've handled this . . . this fiasco has continued unabated for over five hours, and the server is still up. This is just about the worst handling of an event like this imaginable.

I asked a friend to create a character on Manno to check. Sure enough, the Alliance AH prices right now are ridiculously high. Warlord's Deck for 30,000, Nexus Crystals for 7,000, Brain Hacker for 11,000. None of this proves gold duping alone though, it would be easy for a few friends to just inflate prices like that. Just because something is listed at 1000 gold doesn't mean people are buying it for that much.

Anyone who's transfered items x-faction through the Goblin AH's knows that if you don't 2 box and buy your stuff w/in 2 seconds it gets snagged by someone else.
I always figured they were some sort of bots that scanned the AH looking for specific items priced WAY below what they should be. I have to imagine it's not that hard to configure auctioneer to do something like that. Anyway...
I was kind of hoping this was some bug w/ the AH scanning bots (if there are such a thing) and that they were just screwing up and overpaying for peoples stuff.
Now *that* would be funny.
To me at least.
