Favorite raiding music? Why, that'd have to be Junior Explorers, of course! (I actually do rock some Hellsoap compositions while farming from time to time.)
For raiding, I generally stick to stuff that's modal or has a nice, solid pedal point to it. I don't want music that demands active listening when I'm trying to pay attention to a bunch of other shit at the same time. LTJ Bukem and John Digweed (esp. his Global Underground: LA set) are the go-to guys when I can't be bothered to pick something else. Sometimes I'll go with hip-hop like old school Tribe Called Quest, Jurassic 5, or anything from the Quannum guys (Blackalicious, Lateef, Lyrics Born, etc). Amon Tobin is in regular rotation, as well; his album "Permutation" is, incidentally, the ideal soundtrack for the third act of Diablo2 (the jungle zone).

I could easily spend several hours responding to this, but I don't think this is proper place for an orgasm of jazz enthusiasm. If you want some ideas, shoot me an email at the address in my profile. If you can give me a brief list of the bands you currently enjoy, that'll help me focus my recommendations.
Techno/trance/electronica in general. I highly recommend streaming http://di.fm for anyone interested in (for the most part) good electronica.
Holy crap, this is exactly what I do. :D
I mainly listen to the vocal channel. If a song I dislike plays, then I'll be listening to GT vs. Project C mixes (which also happens to play on the station but only a handful of of their mixes). I'm not one to switch genres depending on my mood or what I'm doing; I'll ALWAYS be listening to trance.
I'm a di.fm fan as well, though lately when raiding i generally find myself listening to infected mushroom more often than not. i had a grandiose plan to make a PVP video before the last patch with shots from live to "IM the supervisor" and "muse breaks", and a beta arena section to "cities of the future", but i never got enough footage to make it happen :(
In the interests of disclosure, Hellsoap doesn't actually raid. Or play WoW, really. He just comes by every month or so to make a dumb post.
I usually have some flavor of trance playing when I am out soloing or in a casual 5-man or something. On raids, it's just Vent and in-game sounds.
Cuz raiding is serious buzness!
 Catchphrase!
Come back in three days with one that doesn't suck.

If it helps, I have a fraps of you guys absolutely monkeystomping this turd of an AB pug I was in maybe a week and a half ago. I was the druid frantically trying to run up and /flex at you, but you put me on my ass every time before I managed to get more than about 15 yards out of the GY at our spawn point. Good times...
I just want to say that the flower print on your chair is awesome and should have been preserved when you got your new chair.
It was free, okay? :(
To stay on topic, according to my history of what I've been playing lately:
Hollertronix/Milkcrat "Bmore Gutter Music" mix (kinda what Detroit ghettotech/booty bass would sound like if it came from Baltimore)
The Knife "Deep Cuts" (Apparently Swedish synthrock - shows what I know about accents!)
Helium "Superball EP" (indie rock, quiet, female vocalist, pretty, etc.)
Dabrye "One/Three" (glitchy electronic stuff)
Godspeed You Black Emperor! "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven" (epic instrumental rock compositions)
Diplo/M.I.A. "Piracy Funds Terrorism Vol 1" (remixes of a bunch of stuff Diplo's produced/worked on, mostly electronic with a lot of dancehall influence)
Datachi "Wearealwayswellthankyou" (glitch techno and drill and bass)
RJD2 vs. Diplo rip
Whole bunch of different DTM mixes (http://www.detroittechnomilitia.com/ - bunch of Detroit-based/Detroit-loving music kids releasing mixes that are generally very, very good)
Michael Doyle's Dorkwave CD-R (electronic, indie rock, this that and the other thing live mix)
Paxahau.com's audio archives are another good source for electronic mixes; they record most of their events and upload them. Anything with the names Carlos Souffront or Derek Plaslaiko are probably worth listening to. They also archive DEMF audio.
Melador> Incidentally, these last few pages are why people hate lawyers.

During trash clearing + farm mode bosses I sometimes listen to the soundtrack on Discordia's "MC Experience:" video. (Video is really old back when Shazzrah didn't blink and etc.)
Ha, I remember that video. Do I recall correctly that they killed all of Garr's adds in that? I think I still have that one on my drive at home -- need to check it out later.
Wow. I am simply amazed people still have that. I have not deleted our Ony // MC video since I first downloaded them off our private boards before they even went up on Fileplant. Man those were some good times... (I was a former Discordia Player, If you want the MC Video I was the druid who was a cat when we did Luci // Magmadar, even though I healed >:|, I also accidently jumped in front of the file maker when we first spawned Rag ;x)
Ever since Mchammar's "How2ReckoningBomb" video, if I really want to feel badass when pvping, I throw on some Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. Angry music is well and good, but if you really want to flaunt your superiority, goofy elevator music makes all my opponents seem like clowns.

heh - I used to PVP to Happy2bHardcore for the same reason. And if anyone saw our oldschool Broodlord kiting video (which I can't find for the life of me...) - the super-sped-up "Kiss your lips" was our theme song for that fight. :-P
As for other sources of good raiding music - Sasha's Airdrawndagger is really good, albeit somewhat downtempo. I've actually been listening to a lot of the mixes on Dave Seaman's site recently - www.djdaveseaman.com - good pacing for trash and some bossfights.
I have my DI.fm favorites that I flip through. I pay monthly so I get the nice streams and the replay channel, and it's very much worth it. They just recently added alt rock and techno channels to their line up which I like to flip on from time to time. My favorite channel is Drum and Bass, and if that gets repetitive I flip through Replay, Vocal, Trance, DJ Mixes and Progressive. Sometimes Gabber is tolerable as well, in doses. I generally have all their stations on my favorites list and I hit my forward jump button until I get to something I like.
Then there are other times when I load up my epic metal play list and blast that. :)
I also covet rips of Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance, which I sometimes get to catch live on DI.fm. I love that man and his cute accent.
I just listen to my customized radio station from www.pandora.com
It's a Techno/Trance/Robotika/Electronika mix of a station.
My library of various discographies no longer gets touched. I highly recommend this site as THE way to listen to music.
Pandora rocks. I've been thinking about listening to it while I raid. Right now, I listen to it all day at work (Hello, stoner rock station! All the Electric Wizard you ever needed!).

That's also a great idea. Maybe some Celtic Cross, Shpongle, etc., too! My personal Ideas for WoW video music were "I am the Warrior" for a PvP warrior video, and "Plant Man" for a healy druid video. Unfortunately, I'm awful at PvP.
Hell, I bet that Venetian Snares would be great raiding music also, or some good Ah Cama Sotz.
It's funny that you say this, considering the progressive channel on DI.fm is mostly trance and trance DJs, labelled under "progressive". You probably associate "trance" with old tracks like System-F - Out of the Blue and other circa 98/99 stuff with snare rolls that go on for 3 minutes. I'll also go out on a limb and assume you're using the term "techno" as an all-encompassing definition of EDM in general (like most people), and that you haven't listened to much actual techno, since for the most part it's pretty underground.
Actually I've been listening to electronic music since 1996 when i was growing up in Belgium. But ok nice post man. Keep on keepin on.

Yes, in a work environment that doesn't like media files loaded onto computers, Pandora is amazing. Been using it for a year and a half now with no regrets.
I will also sadly admit that a decent portion of my mp3 playlist comes from the compilation someone made of the tracks from all of Fura's videos on the old Nightmares Aslyum boards.
Hah, since you clearly like trance please allow me to send you some quality livesets from quality DJs. There are a few decent tracks that Fura uses, but it's mostly cheese-trance =P
I wouldn't call it cheese... more like chipmunks on helium. I was only able to tolerate the soundtrack to the Razorgore kite video... after that, it really got cheesy.
Then again, I just can't tolerate much trance apart from anthems... I'll usually play downtempo electronic music when soloing or doing alts. When I'm PvPing in a good group I'll usually put on some baroque classical... 'cos things are running like clockwork. If PUGs and new content raids, I don't listen to music at all... have to really focus during those things. For farm raids I tend to be doing other stuff in between bouts of mashing the frostbolt key (cribbage/backgammon with the roommate's always good).
I'd note that I have my sound setup wired in such a fashion that I can listen to music at blastingly loud volumes, but if someone talks in Vent, the music gets muted for as long as they're talking, at which point back to eardrum destruction.
That's neat, I just use a headset for Ventrilo and speakers for music, works out fine.
I tend to play a lot of hip-hop nowadays, especially for trash. I'll go from De La Soul to King Gheedorah, lots of Wu Tang/Raekwon/GZA, Smif-n-Wessun, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, Blackalicious, Talib Kweli, MF Doom, Madlib/Quasimoto, etc. If I'm feeling particularly aggressive, I'll put on Melt Banana, Lightning Bolt, Fantomas, Merzbow, Animal Collective, Black Dice, The Locust or anything dissonant.
@Snow: My god. How did I not think of that. I think I could even stand AV if it were to have a soundtrack like that. WSG = Mariachi? Maybe Tejano...
@Apate: I'm now going to have to try Tarmvred, I think possibly for Abom wing. I think DK would be more of a deeper, symphonic type of zone, a couple selections from This Morn' Omina are coming to mind for 4H, which makes me now want to thematically match artists to encounters/zones. (Except for Razorgore = Yakkity Sax, always and forever.) I'm sending you the resultant therapy bill.
