I have another topic for heated debate which we can bring up every year with a new thread, never reach consensus on, and never convince anyone of anything regarding:
Optimal Christmas Movie Cycles.
Please note, each version of Miracle on 34th Street counts as a separate movie, and the colorized version is effectively distinct from the black and white one.
For what it's worth, anyone will convince me of anything if they can come up with a compelling reason why SciFi was airing the original Planet of the Apes movie as its kickstart to the holiday movie marathon. A message as to some scheduler's holiday shopping experience? "Get your hands off me, you @#$@ dirty apes!"? I suspect it will be one of the ineffible mysteries of the ages.
Edit: Merry Christmas, I even went ahead and provided a
preliminary graff. The axiseseses are Movie Combo Points versus Edification, obviously.
