Every time someone mentions getting a pvp mount/some new mount /the AQ battle tank etc I really don't care. I already have the best mount in the game (White Mechanostrider Mod A) that no one new can ever obtain. I haven't seen anyone else with one in well over a year now.

edit: to be a little more on topic, limited edition items are definitely very cool, but I find that my problem is trying to decide what's worth keeping. I kept tons of snowballs and the christmas red/green helper non-combat pets in my bank for a long time before finally deciding to pitch them along with those lunar festival asian-style dresses. And then theres things you get rid of that you wish you hadn't (like I'm sure many feel about the old school epic mounts).

I'm fairly certain that I have the best mount in the game (Ivory Raptor), seeing as its bigger, shinier and can eat your White Mechanostrider Mod A. ;)

Then again, I grinded my Silvermoon City rep to Exalted via quests + lots of AV turn-ins. I know everyone will be riding a Hawkstrider around eventually, but I still want one to play around with. D:

But yes, back to topic: limited items that are linked to recurring events, however, aren't really that cool. I mean, if you miss out on it, you can always get it again a year later (if you don't plan to be playing that long, well, it's not like you'd be playing long enough to appreciate a limited item anyways). AQ Event stuff is pretty neat-o and so are old school epic mounts. Hell, I still feel stupid for vendoring my Argent Avenger, because there's no way I'm gonna be able to get another one. D:

Did someone say Patchwerk? I knew this thread would turn into something awesome. No but seriously - let patchwerk loose in Ironforge/Orgrimmar the day before patch (pre-zerker ae of course, give us all a chance!).

I think Grand Widow with a bit more HP would be a lot more interesting.

One thing I've always wondered about is what happened to Blizzard's plans with artifact items. I remember back when I was a total noob hearing about that they would be items that can only be obtained once or a couple times per server. Similar to the AQ mount I guess. Hopefully we will see them in TBC!

You can obtain an artifact by combining a (2%) drop from both C'Thun and KT, forged in the lava of Ragnaros.

And T4-5 can only be forged in shadowflames.

I think Artifacts were originally planned to be the true "Legendary" items - i.e. Frostmourne, Twin-Blades of Azzinoth(Illidan's weapon I believe?), and such. Then after getting Sulfuras into the game, they realized there wasn't really a need for the Artifact tag.

Man, I'd pay cash for Blizzard to replace Stitches with Patchwerk once.
