I`m interested where to go to start lvling again, i was not on beta servers so don`t know where to go :)
Can some one write in 2-3 line name of maps and where to go, probably some ppl are interested in this too.
Before this thread makes it over to the Shit Heap....
you may want to read the other threads on this forum. And also try right-clicking on your map right now when you log on. You can see all the zones already. right-click to zoom out past Azeroth and you'll see Outlands.
Go read through the TBC Beta Q&A thread. There is a wealth of information that will make sense to you if you combine it with your new overworld map and the preview map of Outland Blizzard has released on their TBC Town Hall.
'War' is too small a word for what I'm fighting. Like a candle in front of the whole burning Sun. Now, I am not going to die today. I have other projects, and other options.

Although you're trying to be helpful, telling someone to go read through a 140 page thread is usually pretty discouraging. I've popped in and out of the thread, but I'm sure I wouldn't start searching through it if I wanted to ask a question about TBC right now. Try posting at the end of that thread though, apologize if its been mentioned and see if someone who's read the reply or knows your answer can help you out.
That being said, I don't know the answer to your question, but my best guess would be in the first zone of the outlands? :P I haven't bothered installing TBC.
Edit: While we're at it, if this thread doesn't get heaped... does anyone know if quests that are completed now and turned in after installing TBC will give xp rewards? Basically I'm wondering if I should go into TBC with 25 completed quests and turn em in right away.

I can't see why they wouldn't. After all, there's going to be some lvl 59 out there doing the same thing right?
Old World quests do give EXP in the expansion, as long as they are not involving repeatable turn-ins. I am not sure i could find 25 quests to complete to take into TBC honestly. The only quests in my log are the AQ armaments quests, and the cryptstalker armour i dont have yet, odds are i wont be completing those quests (plus i dont think they give exp).
A good portion of people think the initial starting zone for TBC will be so clogged that you would be better off leveling elsewhere. With the constant outlands crashing that will be on the menu, you can imagine some people will be in old 60 instances. Places like Diremaul north, Strat/Scholo to a lesser degree, would provide high level mobs, that give good exp, and dont require you to wait in line to get your 30th blimp part.
As a solo player, with no group, its going to be very difficult to beat the EXP from the outlands, as the quest+mob exp will be so much better in a place where you actually have quests.
I thought they may have put in some mechanic to disable xp from previously completed quests, since with 25 quests at 5-6k xp, thats more than halfway to 61 just from running around and turning in the quests on day1. I'm in a good position to work on quests right now, since I just hit 60 and all I did was grind from 55-60 so virtually every instance quest is up for grabs.

You have to think about it like you just hit 60, the day AFTER the expansion came out, and still had quests to turn in. They wont punish you for having completed quests in your quest log at 60, because most people who are leveling could very well have that happen. If you can land 25 quests with 5k exp a shot then good for you, but since most high EXP quests are chains for people who are already 60, i dont imagine there will be too many people doing it.
Grab 4 other people that managed to get their accounts upgraded and beeline for the ramparts.
Or if you're a druid head straight for Zang and grind CE rep as high as you can off the naga before taking any quests.
What this guy said.
There's about three choices for a level 60 in outland.
Starting Quests in Hellfire Penninsula: Difficult, due to the fact that many quests require friendly, and chain off the lower level quests. Limited numbers of spawns + massive amounts of players makes this option slightly unappealing.
Starting Quests in Zangarmarsh: Quests are not particularily challenging, and there are a decent number of them. Should not have quite the same mad crowding, but won't be barren either. Too many people will put 2 and 2 together and head there.
Ramparts/Blood Furnace: Best option, in my opinion. Gives rep with HH/thrallmar up until honored, which is nice, since you can maximize your rep gain. Fairly easy instances that are quick, slightly fun, and excellent exp.
Slave pens is probably possible at 60, but it wouldn't be very good exp/hour nor would you be able to equip the item rewards.

You can get a small boost from turning in various old world quests, but I personally don't believe that's worth the time. Even if you get yourself half a level, that's maybe three hours of outlands leveling you save. It's personal preference I guess, I'd rather be in the outlands doing new quests instead of travelling around the old world.
As far as where to start. Both Hellfire and Zangarmarsh have quests that are completable by a level 60. Hellfire also has two instance that are 60-62 (Ramparts) and 61-63 (Blood Furnace). Both areas have a *ton* of quests, but it's impossible to predict how camped these areas are going to be once the expansion goes live. I leveled in beta just before christmas when the block of guild invites went out. Mobs were camped, but quests were definitely possible to complete. It's great if you can throw an invite to those around when you are all waiting for the same boss mob to spawn.
I'll probably instance in Hellfire if the zone seems too busy, and start soloing for quests at off-peak times.
Here is the progression when I leveled to 70 on beta.
When I finished I had only compeleted half (?) of Netherstorm and I hadn't even set foot in Shadowmoon Valley. I didn't do much instancing, pretty much ran each instance once for quest completion.
Assuming the servers are even up, running around Azeroth turning in quests might actually be easier (and faster) than trying to traverse HFP with 8,000 players between you and the exit. I'd completely forget any remote possibility of completing the drop quests in HFP, and unless the dynamic spawning kicks into overdrive, even the kill quests will be a bit of a pain.
I think everyone's going to be hammering the instances on release, one can only hope the servers will be able to cope.

From what I heard and according to thottbot, all these quests have a minimum level requirement of 61. I'll transfer a fresh 60 over and run over there to check this weekend though, because so much is subject to change.
When I first took my Warrior onto the Beta servers I was completely unprepared to start questing again, as i've gotten so used to running around with about 5 bag spaces free. No matter how much i tried to slim down the amount of gear/potions in my bags i never seemed to have enough, and it is especially painful with no convenient AH.
So I am planning to spend on hour a so clearing out of my Bank/Bags, to make enough bag space to quest effectively. I'm hoping i can slim by bags down to:
- 1 Bag of Tanking gear
- 2 Handed weapon
- Mount
- 1 stack of Food (you pick up plenty while questing)
- Lots of Health/Combat pots
- PvP trinket
- Hearthstone
- 6-7~ stacks of Runecloth (to lvl first aid)
To do this I'll need to clear out my Bank:
- Send all unbound items to Alts.
- Disenchant/vendor 'situational' gear that you might normally hold on to. Leveling to 70 I can't see a need for most of it.
- Disenchant/vendor low level resistance gear . Some of the nice epic pieces might still be worth holding onto
- I'll probably try and hold onto a few Tradeskill mats (enchanting in my case) to attempt to get a few skill-ups. The rest will be stored on alts.
I'll also be creating a brand new Bank Alt, as the new Herbs, Regents & things like Motes will need to be stored somewhere. Also, it’s a pain in the ass heading back to Azeroth to sell items on the AH. So I'll setup an alt, with decent bag space and about 200g, in a major town and post it all sellable greens/blues/regents/herbs. This will also allow me to buy things from the AH and post them to my Warrior.
I'm sure there are other things I should be doing, but at least this way I'll be able to start questing from Day 1 ….. assuming the servers hold up ;P
I'm planning on soloing elites in Azeroth the first couple of days. I just can't see Outlands going well at all with everyone trying to cram into one zone. I fully expect continent crashes, massive lag, etc. Unless they've changed something massively, you're going to have a lot more people that even crammed into Silithus for the AQ event. I know they upgraded the hardware, but guess we'll find out just how much.
I can see people making a fortune selling Runecloth next to the First Aid trainer in Telhamat. It's fairly common knowledge now that you need a few stacks of runecloth to lvl up First Aid, but you just KNOW most people won't have bothered :p
I will go straight to instances when I get TBC. Since I'm not in the beta, anyone know if there are any instancequestguides out? Such as, it shows which instance got what quest involved. The thottbot search on that is a bit ... crude.
I don't really think there'll be any crashes, too populated to do outdoor quests? Yea, but not any crashes, since not everyone will get TBC, and not every one of those that get it will get it on the first day, some the second and some even a week afterwards. As opposed to the AQ event, when the entire server could just fly there.
What do you miss by skipping Hellfire Penninsula? Which are the key quest chains or fantastic quest rewards (can I upgrade to a Luffa 2.0?) to be had there?
DOT and rot.

The Bombing Run is in a league of it's own as far as cool, fun shit to do. There are some decent upgrades for various pieces (the Blackhand trinket upgrade, etc), but nothing you can't live without for a couple levels until you come back to enjoy the place when it calms down. I definitely wouldn't recommend skipping HFP altogether, rather just taking a rain check so to speak.
