BBC News site screws up, film at 11. They really need some better researchers. There's no point saying *anything* about release dates, availability, means of distribution etc. unless it's direct from Blizzard's own site, period.

I'm not running CTRA, and I'm getting this bug about 40% of the time when I target something. Didn't seem to make a difference what mods I was or was not running, still was happening almost half the time.

With this bug, oddly, simply turning mods off isn't sufficient - to fix the problem on my PC, I had to outright remove my entire interface directory, let WoW re-create it and then replace all the non-CTRA mods I was using, which seems to have sorted it out. Although this solution hasn't worked for other people, so it seems this bug is more subtle than that for some, but it's worth a try if you've only tried disabling the mod, instead of removing it entirely.

Can confirm that there is indeed an issue with mind control; whether or not it is restricted to mob mind controls or if the Priest/Gnomish Mind-Control Cap versions are affected too, I don't know. All I noticed was every time a tank got mind-controlled on Hakkar, they would get disconnected. Made aggro somewhat dodgy, as the affected tank also appeared to have his threat wiped. Thank god this wasn't on Kel'Thuzad! Has anyone noticed any issues with the Priest version?

Yes, exactly.
BTW, i have come crazy theory about it. According to Slouken ( http://blue.cardplace.com/newcache/us/63757216.htm) name lookup function in base UI is borked. Could it be that Seal of Light piece of code uses that lookup, gets the name of warrior instead of paladin and behave accordingly ?
|
Except, look at the combat log, it's healing -everyone-. Might just be a bug with Seal of Light?

I'm using CTRA and the fan-ported version of Discord Unit Frames and I've not been affected by this target frame not appearing.
it's available at the www.discordmods.com forums section.

I only got disconnected once when mindcontrolled while tanking Hakkar on my alt. I also haven't had the no targetframe bug. I don't have CTRA and am using ag_uf.

Its something ctmod related. I had the exact same issue with a full ctmod install. I removed ctraid. Issue persists. Removed all of the Ctmod folders and the issue disappeared. Now whether its a bug in ctmod or a result of ctmod and the somewhat buggy blizzard ui code for this release Im not sure.

I'm not sure why they would buff VE in the first place.

The tooltip for the base spell updates when you pick Improved VE, so it's still 20% improved to 30%

Hmm... interesting, I guess they changed tooltips to update now? Or was it always like that? I didn't recall seeing that before, and didn't really want to blow 50g on a respec to find out!

A few patches ago they fixed the spell tooltips. I think buff tooltips are still static.

They are for mage buffs at least. The tooltip on the button shows the improved dampen/amp magic but if you mouse over the buff it is not updated.

The dissappearing default target frame in combat was really annoying, clearly some addon was tainting it and you could not get it back before combat ended. The reason seems to be that if some addon is trying to use custom soundseffects it will taint the target frame (targetting/detargetting causes a sound). Confirmed addons were at least CTRA and La Vendetta, can't remember other ones. I fixed this simply by disabling La Vendetta, no CTRA anyways. I have CT_mod unitframes and no problems, so they do not cause this.

I believe our paladins have said that having Judgement of the Crusader up is what's causing the 180+ heals from Judgement of Light. The amount healed is affected by Quick Recovery (rogue talent), Improved Sanctity Aura, and having a treeform druid in your party. It doesn't affect Judgement of Wisdom.
For the hordies out there, Judgement of Light heals for 61 unbuffed and has a 40% proc rate on swings. The unintended buff may save me some money on Loatheb if they don't ninja fix it.
I may be wrong about all this, I only have a level 11 paladin myself.

Interesting. I'll try and test that at some point, Arilyn. Ultramax, we were in Naxx, fighting trash in spider and DK.
QR would normally boost JoLight healing 20%, and does in fact only boost it that much; rogues without it were also seeing massive JoLight boosts. It wasn't BoLight, wasn't Sanctity Aura. JoCrus is believable.

Major Combat Healing/Mana pots (also stacking to 10) are in as well, with a level 61 requirement. They cost 2 of any BG mark each, which seems a little pricey, unless you're in a premade that rolls BGs constantly and has way more marks than honor. Wish there was an option to buy those pots with a straight honor purchase :(

I'm not sure it's JoCrus. The two judgements were usually Wisdom and Light. If we go back before beta ends we can hopefully double check.

While they're tagged with a Unique (10) tag, it seems that the ones you buy with each type of BG mark are tagged with a different item id.
So you can buy 10 Major HP/MP Combat Pots using WSG marks, then 10 more using AB marks, 10 more with AV marks, for a total of 30 pots of each type. (And I'd guess 10 more of each type using Eye of the Storm marks) The pots will form separate stacks. (I noticed this bug by trying to buy a stack using WSG and AB marks, but found that I ended up with 2 stacks of the same type of pot)
Even if they fix this later and take away the extras, I'm glad that my excess AB/WSG marks didn't go to waste in the mailbox. = P

As to Judgement of Light being bugged, we have had a variety of reported numbers during our raids. Anything ffrom 103 to 232. It most definitely is not healing for the expected amount. The rogues with quick recovery did have higher numbers but they seemed in line with a 20% increase. Me and a paladin buddy decided to do some testing. During a duel, a normal JoL on me without the 2 piece Redemption bonus would heal him for the normal amount (61). If he put on 2 piece redemption, it would heal him for 101 (not the 81 that would be expected). During the previous night's raid it had been healing him for 103 so we figured we'd try and find what stat was changing it. We tested pretty much every condition on him we could come up with (+heal, +damage, int, stam, spi, stam, agi, str, weapon speed, target armor, targets life). Nothing had any effect. It was always 101 for him solo.
We were quite confused.

Who on earth doesn't have excess marks? I bought 67k honor worth of rewards plus a mount for my warrior alt and I have around 175 marks left over, plus at least 100 that I destroyed from the mailbox. I'm glad they made them useful for something.

We had an interesting bug with raid-leader position tonight.
Apparently, switching RL assigned it to a random member of the raid, or at least, it was not necessarily going to the person it was meant to. It could just have been half the raid bored and messing around and I wasn't in on the joke, but this was a two-guild pick-up affair and I don't see the other guild being in on it. I didn't end up as RL at any point, so didn't get an opportunity to try setting a new leader and testing it myself.
