We had an interesting bug with raid-leader position tonight.
Apparently, switching RL assigned it to a random member of the raid, or at least, it was not necessarily going to the person it was meant to. It could just have been half the raid bored and messing around and I wasn't in on the joke, but this was a two-guild pick-up affair and I don't see the other guild being in on it. I didn't end up as RL at any point, so didn't get an opportunity to try setting a new leader and testing it myself.
We had a hilarious event in our pvp group earlier when we tried to remove an offline person from the group and it just removed everyone else instead of the offline one. Ended up having to make a new group since there was just the group leader and the offline person left in the group after several attempts at removing him and still no way to get rid of him :P
Fyi Singapore pre-order collection event is on the 16th afternoon Singapore time. I actually believe I'll have to wait for 2-3 hours for the gates to open even though I'd have the expansion pack by then >.>
The distribution of WoW/TBC in Malaysia and Singapore is handled by the same amazing company which actually put up this news post:

I still have my reservations (Bad pun, I know)... we'll see.
After the recent rolling restarts on EU realms, the door from inside the champion's hall is now open as it is from the outside. Major game breaking fix.
Heads up; I relogged WoW a moment ago to reboot my router, and WoW downloaded (ingame) a new patch.
Patcher says its 2.0.4, and the lack of patch notes or a server-side restart of any kind leads me to believe it was a client-side fix. For the raid interface issues, mayhaps?

Also, the BETA client (2.0.3) patches to 2.0.4 without any worries and is still usable.
2.0.4 bug fixes:
* Fixed problem with name matching of players in the party or raid (affected promote, follow, etc.)
* Allow dueling option in tainted unit menus
* Fixed /equip
2.0.5 bug fixes:
* Improved robustness of pet action bar display, now less likely to be accidentally blocked by addons.
Edit: this is from the Macros & UI Forums, so it might not be a complete list of patch changes
A better description would be saying that the Eye of the Storm PvP weekend is currently active, which is causing Blood Elves and Draenei to appear in their respective factions capital cities. ;)

Has else anybody played around much with the level 69-70 mobs by Karazhan yet? I went down there with a few guild mates and killed a few unliving residents with them. It seems like they are itemizated with the last patch. We didn't spend too much time down there, but we got a bit of netherweave cloth and a super health potion from them.
I had forgotten how much level difference affect damage. They didn't hit particularly hard, they would crushing blow me for 300-500 damage, but my own damage was pathetic.
* You melee Unliving Resident for 2 damage (G).
* You sinister strike crit for 400.
At least I was doing damage, I don't think casters were getting any non-resists at all. I think a well geared rogue and a healer are enough to kill them, it just takes a while. I might go back and play more with them this weekend. Super mana and healing pots would be nice to have.
We killed a few of them too. They weren't overly difficult though white damage definitely won't kill them quick. I could tank them pretty easily in bear even though almost every hit was a crushing blow (I only have 12 or so +defense).
As to Judgement of Light being bugged, we have had a variety of reported numbers during our raids. Anything ffrom 103 to 232. It most definitely is not healing for the expected amount. The rogues with quick recovery did have higher numbers but they seemed in line with a 20% increase. Me and a paladin buddy decided to do some testing. During a duel, a normal JoL on me without the 2 piece Redemption bonus would heal him for the normal amount (61). If he put on 2 piece redemption, it would heal him for 101 (not the 81 that would be expected). During the previous night's raid it had been healing him for 103 so we figured we'd try and find what stat was changing it. We tested pretty much every condition on him we could come up with (+heal, +damage, int, stam, spi, stam, agi, str, weapon speed, target armor, targets life). Nothing had any effect. It was always 101 for him solo.
We were quite confused.
I have also done some testing to try and reproduce the effects (196 was the most common increased amount people in the raid were reporting). I did it with 2 pallies, 1 with 2pc redemption, 1 without on the elite dragons in BS.
Blessing of light didnt affect it. (tested for completeness)
Sanctity aura did.
JotC did not increase it
Judgeing light and then rejudging every 10 seconds did not increase it in the time it took me to melee down a 56 elite with a 1H.
Both pallies judging light had a weird effect, i think they were stacking (i was getting to alternating numbers one which was right for 1 pally and 1 without the T3)
ToL aura didnt affect it.
Then I ran out of ideas and gave up.
Best guess i had about getting healed for 101 is that the T3 bonus was being applied twice, once on the jdugement and again on it healing the pally, this seems to be correct as the pally w/o T3 was getting healed for 61/81 and i was getting 81/101.

I was running around with some guildies killing them earlier in the week - we actually did multiple clears through the Master's Cellar and such. Got a bunch of Neherweave and a few mid-60s greens (and even a blue Jewelcrafting pattern), but overall it was really boring and not especially rewarding.

Yes a few guildies and I went down there a week ago, but they dropped about 6s I think so we decided that farming them wasn't worth it. If they have been re-itemized it might be worth visiting them for a bit before the patch I suppose.

I know they're dropping some of the random BoE Blues/Epics as well, a group of people farming them on my server got themselves [The Bringer of Death] for example.
Hunters seem to work particularly well for damaging the mobs... As long as the mob stays at range, and since hunters work well on them for damage that makes it rather hard to keep them there with Feign Death suffering from the spell resist rating of a mob 8 to 10 levels higher. Rogues, kitty Druids and Enhancement Shamans worked well too.

They're trivial as hell to solo as a hunter on account of not running very fast and having no ranged specials. I just got a bunch of Netherweave, but guildmates of mine apparently got a level 68 green ring and some other stuff. Fun to do if you have nothing else worth doing.
Maybe this is a dumb question but...they really dropped a level 70 blue? Don't they have to drop items a few levels below them?
Unless the guy that put it on the AH hacked the item, I have to assume it was a drop. Anyway, as I recall the item level on it was lower than some of the random greens they drop, so it's not unreasonable.
It looks exactly like the [Headmaster's Charge] does, which rather disappointed me, but I guess it fits the name.

Hm. Maybe it's just my tin-cans-and-string connection, but since 2.0.3 I get a noticeable (~5s) delay between starting WoW and the login screen actually appearing. The beta client has done the same thing since I got a key, but I haven't see anyone else mention it. Is it just me? :o

Someone said something about their levels being 69-72 somewhere.
I'm not on beta, and can't confirm.
The mobs outside of Karazhan can be seen by anyone with the game (assuming they haven't been killed), they were itemized in the 2.0.3 patch yet added in the 2.0.1 patch. The ones I saw are 68-69.
Millions of words are written annually purporting to tell how to beat the races, whereas the best possible advice on the subject is found in the three monosyllables: 'Do not try.'
Its their trojan scanner running, before you login. Haven't installed a keylogger to test :P but I remember the patch where the delay occured on beta and there was a little box that popped up before saying it was scanning for trojans.

The mobs at Karazhan were not added with 2.0.3, they existed pre-2.0 as level 58-60 mobs. The levels were increased with the release of 2.0.1.
I tried to kill a lvl 69 unliving caretaker this morning with my mage, the resist rate was increadable and I was unable to get one below 30% (and even that took multiple attempts).
Based on this blue post, base spell hit of a 9 level difference should be 17%. Hmm guess solo farming them as a mage isn't going to work.
