Any of the servants from any of the camps will work. As will any of the cannons from any of the camps.

Yea, that quest is ugly. Fortunately, he spawned on top of me last night and my mighty [Naglering] proved its worth yet again when he attacked. It was either that or the tunderclap I hit immediately after that got him.

If you are looking for Bladefist's, you don't need to do any of the camps or cannons. I did Path of Anguish so that I got sent to Expedition Point, went from there to Shatter Point for the flightpath, and then simply hopped over to Invasion Point: Annihilator and killed the named. I suppose I could have practically ridden straight to Annihilator rather than fly to and fro. Anyway, he dropped the note that starts the quest named "Overlord" whose reward includes Bladefist's. So, yeah, I can now get Bladefists and I didn't have to do the heavily contested overseer guy or all the peons/cannons.

I think its worth noting in this thread also, that it is entirely possible to complete the Mageddon and Rage camp quests in the other camps. It doesn't matter which camp you go to, you just need to kill the mobs. Of course, you can't avoid having to kill the named dude in Mageddon (Razorsaw?), so make a macro to target him, have an instant cast spell ready and spam them until he pops up!

There's always free cheese in the mouse traps, but the mice there ain't happy.

Yeah, after reading this thread, 'useful' is kinda subjective. My T2-geared warrior ran Ramparts last night. A couple nice blues dropped, but nothing that was an upgrade for me. However, the other warrior and the druid in the party were both excited about the armor/stam/resil ring that the dragon dropped. Same thing with the quest rewards. If you have Naxx gear, you may think it's all a waste. If T1's as far as you got (or didn't get that far), there looks to be lots of stuff out there.

Seems to me the answer to the OP is going to be very dependent on what they have to start with.

I find that the best way for Tagging is to keep your 'v' up to see mobhealth bars over their heads. The bars show up just before the mob spawns, and you can click it to target + get a quick Exorcism off, or something.

OT:

I hadn't realized until my first few Ramparts runs how completely revolutionary my new Pally Taunt is. With mob pulls of 4-5, it's nearly inevitable the tank will drop aggro on one or two of them. Left unchecked, it's trivial for them to kill the Cloth. Before the Taunt, my options were to either A) Drop Consecration + use Righteous Fury right away, or B.) keep my HOJ up for emergencies. Neither were great because A) meant I usually got more aggro then the Tank on some things and B.) meant I was acting like a backstop, too concerned about the Cloth to do any damage.

With Pally Taunt, I can swing away, keep an eye on the Cloth, and instantly free his aggro if he takes any. Then I Consecrate, or the Tank notices and grabs them back. The tank never has to break his attention, the Clothies never even need to hit Fade/Frost Nova, and so on. It even lets the Mages go crazy with AOE -- When the mobs break for them I ping-pong them back, giving htem another good 4-5 seconds of AOE craziness. It totally changes the dynamics, and everyone I group with loves it.

Bottom line, I haven't needed my Shield for the Cloths in my last three Ramparts runs.

Those rampart runs sounds horrid. I think the first time I ran it with guildies we had two hunters, two mages and a pirest. We had enough CC and DPS to blow through the instance, and the pets (none BM hunter pets mind you) were able to tank everything. The only difficulties was the last boss, but I think I shot the dragon down with ten fireballs so that was pretty quick too.

While the rewards are craptastic for most players the Unyielding quest line is worth the time to complete just for the way in ends. Maybe I'm sappy but it gave me a good feeling.

Not to mention they generally vendor for a good gold amount. But I seriously doubt I'll be whole sale replacing Naxx gear until level 65 or so, even then some pieces off later Naxx bosses are going to stay there until level 70 (Cloak of Necroplis and REOS comes to mind <p.s. yes I'm a lootwhore for taking those on our first two saph kills>)

Sorry if I'm wrong, but reading the replies above I get the impression people think doing the Forge camp stuff is part of the Overlord chain. It isn't. You can just go to the last camp, kill the big mob you're supposed to kill for the last part of the Forge camp stuff, and he'll drop the note to start the Overlord chain. He spawns around once a minute. That and the spawn for the actual boss you need to kill for Overlord are the only bottlnecks, and they're not bad as bottlenecks go.

The competition at Camp Rage, Camp Megeddon etc for spawns is just for XP and rep, nothing to do with Overlord :)

edit: beaten to it by Charsi :P

I hate that the mail BP from that quest is better than anything before Stormcaller by a pretty good margin :/

Yeah I realized that a couple minutes later and edited my post =P Thanks, though. It's pretty lame, that was a nice way to get rep without burning out on Coilfang.

The quests for the druids in Blade's Edge are good until they have you go throw a net on the whelps in the cave. Whelps aggro from above you and will train tons of mobs =(

One neat thing is when you get the quest to collect the costume scraps and wear the costume, they have a quartermaster who sells an item that turns you in to a whelp for 15 minutes

Just in case anyone else is wondering what in the hell quest 'Overlord' is, its the Alliance equivalent of 'Cruel's Intentions' (Kill Arazzius the Cruel, get a funky trinket).
