One of the things I've noticed while running around HFP is that it's difficult to tell when quests chain into each oher, due to not being directly linked fromt he questgiver, and that there are two massive quest chains with good rewards early on (Overlord and Drill the Drillmaster). For each quest line though, there's an annoying bottlekneck with 20 people camping a tiny spawn point. That bottlekneck caused people to just give up on the quest line since they couldn't see the end result.

Is there a good listing of which quests or quest-chains are the ones that should be picked up in each zone?

The Forge Camp quest ending with Cruel's Intentions is really the only must-have quest in Hellfire. Neither Zang or Terokk had particuarly memorable quest lines, but there are good instance rewards in both zones (the 1up mushroom in particular is fantastic for grinding). Nagrand has a couple good ones: Nesingwary, the line that starts with the demonslayer next to the netherdrake and of course no EJ reader should pass up the Ring of Blood. Ring of Blood is probably the other quest that will get backlogged for a few weeks. By the time you make it to Blade's Edge I doubt there will be much in the way of quest queues.

"Wanted: Bonelashers Dead!" and it's followup "Torgos!" are a great pair of quests for anyone who never got a Neltharion's or a DFT. They give the Terrokar Forest version of Bladefist's - a spellhit/melee-hit trinket with a use function.

The trinkets used to be blue but got toned down :(

The 1up mushroom quest is given when Sporeggar rep gets to friendly I think. Possibly Honored, I forget which I'm at. I'm not sure if it has any prereqs. And the quest that sends you in search of the missing druid near Coilfang leads to a nice cape. Those are the only quest rewards I've kept thus far, and I've pretty much finished everything in Hellfire and Zang, minus higher level quests I couldnt pick up.

You need to be 63 and Sporeggar Friendly to unlock the quest to kill the last boss of Underbog, as well as a couple of others. Pretty much everyone should take 20-30 minutes to grind bog lords in SW Zangar and grab spores and such to get their Sporeggar rep up. Once you hit Neutral you get several other quests that can rapidly get you to Friendly.

And yeah, it's kind of sad that the 1up mushroom is superior to Warmth of Forgiveness while soloing. :(

In beta Terokkar had a great questline giving us some Bird-men lore.
But in release it was removed, a few of the quests was spread out in single quests, or into a new minor quest series.
A bit sad. From a lore perspective those old quests was very good (and had some decent rewards I guess).


Kinda hard to tell if the rewards are good. If you are a Naxx raider, no, then there isnt many series which will give anything useful (with Cruel'sintentions as the most likely exception). (then again, if you like to follow the lvl 60-70 lore, any quest series is worth taking :D)
If its an alt, or just non-raider, then I assume most long quest series give something useful.

Nothing special in Zanga as far as I remember (in the end that zone is mostly "Lets gather 100 million mushrooms and have a party"-rep-grind-fest.)

Nagrand got quite a few long quest series. Good old Nesingwary is obvious, with good rewards. And for Horde there is a "little" quest related to Thrall (not really sure what the rewards are, but considering the quest length it would be surprising if they suck).
Also a quest-series from the demonhunter in Nagrand at lvl 66.

I really need to get that Forge Camp: Mageddon quest done. The dynamic respawn rate seems so crappy there. Perhaps there are so few spawns that even 5 people can make that place frustrating, but I dread going over there each time I log on. My ADD and OCD are in constant conflict at that place.

And do pick up those Glowcaps. If you're an Herbalist, you're radar is probably littered with them as soon as you enter the western half of Zang. Getting to Neutral and then Friendly will open up a bunch more quests.

Wish I could offer more, just half-way to 64 at the moment.

For Horde: Do you still need to do The Assassin questline to get introduced to the Mag'har? If so, it is an extremely simple couple quests and a must do to get Quests in Nagrand.

For the lazy-
1up mushroom = [Essence Infused Mushroom] or [Power Infused Mushroom]
and the Torgos questline gives [Terokkar Tablet of Precision] or [Terokkar Tablet of Vim]

Their is 2 camps NE of the first one with razorsaw that you can get the spawns and the 3 fel cannons for the follow up after, made it a lot easier when I did it a second time on my rogue :). Of course, getting the tag on razorsaw is not that easy. Anyway my first impression of that place was that the dynamic respawn system doesn't work in that area.

The nessingwray's quests in Nagrand are definitely worth doing. Straight killing and for shamans you end up with a totem that has 1 less healing than the fankriss one.

The other two Force Camps work for both the Servants and the Fel Cannons. Tagging Razorsaw still sucked, and there was a half-hour wait on trying to tag Overlord. The amusing part for that quest was the 4-5 corpses on the ground for the last Force Camp guy.

Like I said, the annoying part is running into the overcamped areas. I gave up on the Force Camps because there were 10 or so people at each camp and fighting over spawns is annoying, and I had no idea it was part of the trinket questline. But it sounds like that will be ok until the Ring of Honor quests. And I guess after that, the people will be spread out over enough zones to make the overcrowding of HFP be not so bad.

My main question was what are the starting points for the items that have good rewards (blues or good trinkets). Green items are easy to get, but most of the blue stuff is enough to make me pause, or at least link it to undergeared guild members.


I guess I need to go grind Sporegarr rep for that trinket. And the next big questline I need to worry about is the Ring of Honor.
