Agreed with zyla, for the vast majority of fights I will only eat either a 30 stam or 20 agility food (heavy hitter or fast hitter?), If its a wet push for a big kill, a mongoose or agility pot is very big. If you seem to be having threat issues a strength pot or some of the more obscure world buffs can help, but threat issues are usually a symptom of something much larger anyways.
Really I wouldnt bother too much with flasks unless you are at a fight where that extra little oomph of health will make the difference, as +1500 health on top of the already obscene hp levels a bear can get to is rarely gamebreaking.
