There was some discussion earlier on the lock tanking part. We actually killed maulgar but are running into troubles with him, last week it was Maulgar tank survival which this week we basically patched with massive consumables and better raid composition for maulgar debuffing (extra lock for CoW mostly).
This week our lock tanking fell apart. We have 2 warriors and 2 locks on the job with 2 healers to keep whoever tanks alive. Reason why 2 warriors is that deathcoil at pull has proven to be tricky to keep the raid safe until the first felhound is enslaved.
Now the pull is solid for us. Trouble starts later in. The tank who first got olm keeps getting him back, and especially if by a mishap a felhound dies early a new one can't seem to taunt him off the tank anymore. At some point the tank dies and Olm and/or the pet start ganking DPS or healers.
Now from earlier posts I gather that they simply don't have a warrior involved and rely on enough healing to guarantee that a felhunter always lives long enough to allow a new one to be spawned, brought into place and use it's aggro ability. I think we can try that, but how then do you guys handle the pull? Also what's the safety net if a felhound dies (Kiggler's knockback has proven to manage that for us).
On Kiggler actually. Any ideas how to cope with the aggro cap he has for his ranged tanks (we use a pair of hunters) beyond just being fast with killing the priest and lock? Maybe have them stand at opposite sides to try keep max-range and avoid the aggro reduction?
