For team Yea We Lift (Stormstrike) you're analyzing a lot of old/insignificant data.
We always run with: Warrior/Mage/Hunter/Paladin/Priest
Edit: To clarify a little bit on the topic of your actual research, we've never had more than 2 healers in the group.

The other priest only played for the first week and the rogue we brought along for one night when we were bored and were missing our mage. Needless to say, it wasn't the greatest streak as we went 1-6.

Igni,

I agree with your decision to leave out my battlegroup, Frenzy. There are not enough teams playing to give a representative sample. I was actually the #4 team after the second week and we only had like a 1560 rating. As far as your wording on the topic:

These are relatively small battle groups and their Top 5 teams have 'earned' it less than the Top 5 teams in the larger, more competitive battle groups
I have to admit the wording did rub me a bit the wrong way, but thats just me be defensive about the situation. Frankly, being in Frenzy sucks hard core for arena. Last week, despite several nights of attempts, we couldn't even get a single 5v5 match. No points for 5v5 for the entire week. 3v3 has been a bit better, but you still need to hit it at specific times.

The Plight of the Small Battlegroups
Frankly, its hard to get anybody excited about arena when you finally get your 5 together (working around raids/5 mans) and you get not a single match. Something needs to be done about these incomplete battlegroups, as its almost impossible for us to get critical mass.

Illidan is basically totally dominating the Rampage battlegroup, but I don't think any of their teams run a 2.5 healer setup from what I have seen, even though they could based on their rosters with rotating people in.

Like Elerion said: If used as a replacement for PoM for survivability, it's ~50% less healed for ~35% more mana.

with 13k hp, 4.2k ac (with arena buffs) and blessed resilience all the top teams where allready doing a decent job trying to burst me down in the first 20seconds of the game and after the patch it won't even be funny.

Yeah. The priest in my team isn't undergeared by any means(Around 13K HP as well), however, he sometimes goes down incredibly fast, too.

With proper assisting, a well timed counterspell on the other healer on the opposing team, and a lot of priests are already going down unless they're extremely lucky.

Personally, they should have adjusted the spell for PvE only. Some kind of 'weakened soul' effect on friendly targets(not the priest), so they can't get healed by PoM in 10-15 seconds(Fill in whatever you want here to preserve balance). The priests would still have some of their survivability in arenas. I'm not sure on the buffed values of PW:S being of much use, seeing as the shield has such a noticable graphic, it gets purged/dispelled quite fast.

I'm quite curious to see how the topteams with only having Priest/Paladin as healers do in this week.

Damage wins the fame, Healing wins the game.

I can understand your issue, but perhaps try communication? I know it sounds like a long-shot, but Frenzy had a WoW forum attached for it, so perhaps try to setup a 5v5 time (like Sunday afternoon?).

Since that is a long shot, the best way would be talk to other people on 5v5 teams (create level 1s as needed) to try to set up a window for playing matches. I know that is extra work, but the content is there.

Regarding the 2.5 healer core, it is still a popular, but by no means on every team (by looking at the top 10 teams on each BG). The numbers are 125 Warriors/Pallys, 99 Mages 88 Priests and 66 Shaman
