Seeing as how this is my relaxation from work, you're goddamn right I don't want to turn around and work some more. There is no reason that a significant chunk of preparation time spent simply on consumables (much less the actual current time involved) than time spent raiding should be involved for every single person in the raid in order to have a realistic shot at winning. Blizzard didn't, doesn't, and never will design this game for the type of player that raids with DnT if they have any desire to be profitable.

Does anyone actually want to read this? Just refresh R&D all day if you do.
The moment this becomes the level of discourse in the thread is the moment it becomes obvious that even a derailed and meandering thread has gone too far.
My final two cents, because I can: I, personally, do want to "work" for my in-game accomplishments. A raid boss that is defeated in a single day upon seeing it for the first time is mistuned and a waste of development resources. That may not be the game that you personally want, but hey, WoW is a game built around trying to be all things to all people. People need to accept that there are portions of the game that simply are not, and never will be, meant for them. The remainder is still well worth a $15/mo subscription.
Should there be a casual raid game? Yes, moreso than there is. Have consumables gone too far? Yes -- if you'd read any of the thread or paid attention, you'd realize that XI has been saying as much from the start, so why attack a strawman that he never actually defended? But should all aspects of the game be dumbed down so that the "majority" of the playerbase can experience them? No.
