Back to Hyjal

Since Hyjal is apparently the place to be these days (post trash nerf), we stopped putting it off and decided to say hello to Thrall. It's definitely a lot less painful with eight waves, and the orc encampment trash in general is actually more interesting just because it's something more complex than wave after wave of abominations and ghouls. Some members of the raid group definitely disagree, but I don't mind it so much. Once you actually get rep/loot from the trash, it'll be perfect.

Anyway, we killed Kazzak v2.0, and decided to come back for Azgalor another day after a 2% "wipe" (dammit Thrall). Looking forward to Archimonde within the next few days.

Update one day later:

Did you kill him with shadow resi ?

I heard some unconfirmed rumours that it would be hell of joke if you just put on some shadow resi. But overall it looks like a DPS heavy fight. Kill him before he kills you. Just asking, plan to engage him today.

My guild all liked the 'kazzak2.0' waves too, I still didn't enjoy them anymore as a healer, however the 'Tauren warriors' always bring a smile to my face.
The azgalor waves are quite fun but only since they are ridiculously easy compared.

Eh, shadow resist to the extent that you don't sacrifice DPS helps. You definitely want shadow prot on your raid. But he has a built-in soft enrage mechanic that makes it a fight you really don't want to drag out for too long. I don't think I'd want to rely on stacking SR and hoping to survive longer. Healers could get away with wearing SR, but healers aren't the ones who are going to run OOM.

Wouldn't that be Kazzak 3.0?

Hehe same thing happened to us on Azgalor with Thrall, 75% of the raid live with him at 3% and dumb ass gets himself killed. :/

What is your thrall dying to?

Pretty sure ours was fairly healthy only taking a few RoF's, we moved the boss a few times to avoid cleaving him (if thats possible?).

Sad to say it wasn't exactly a flawless kill ruined by suicidal NPC AI (though Jaina deciding to beat on an Infernal with her staff is some pure genius) -- MT died at a low %, Azgalor turned and splattered Thrall before we could zerg him down. It was pretty late so we just said screw it, but he'll die when we go back.

We had the Jaina thing happen too, very frustrating!

Have fun on Archimonde, just you a boss and 5 abilities
