Warglaives? check.
Mementos? check.
Crystal Spires? check.
Gurg banning you? check.

I do like the 93.33% on the Vanquisher, however.

If each of the blades are about 5% droprate, as Blizzard lists them in the 3-14% category and wowheads sample size says 3-6%, you would expect one within 20 kills or so

As of March 11, assuming EJ killed Illidan every week since July 29, that comes out to 32 weekly kills

As far as I can tell, those results are well within what could be expected. They are on the unpleasant end of the scale but they are nowhere near being fabulously unlucky (if, for instance, we assume the 3% droprate is closer to the truth, one warglaive in 32/33 kills is exactly what would be expected on average)

Each glaive has a chance of dropping in that slot each week, so the expected rate is more like one glaive per 10-11 kills.

But the glaives aren't dependent as far as I know, right? I.E., your chance of getting the matched set blade isn't better because you have the other blade in your raidgroup already?

If you had 32 kills and got one set, thats 1/16 kills leading to a blade, or just over a 6% droprate, which is certainly within the "stated droprate" of anywhere from 3-14%. Its unlucky but not super heinously extremely low right?

Well I don't want it to turn into a 25 post back-and-forth that would seem really trollish and its quite probable I'm focusing on entirely the wrong factor here, so I'll just admit I don't see how the evidence presented shows Blizzard to be deceitful/the contention that loots really are random to be WoW-forums category tripe, and be done with it.

A bit late, but congrats. We had our first glaive drop a while back. Still waiting on that offhand though. Random loot is way too random. We've had 1 skull, 1 memento, 1 crystal spire, and 1 stormrage signet. Everything else has been shields and faceplates up the wazoo.

I just wanted to post a congratulations to Khazal, and express a hope that those rather overwhelming things don't cause you back problems! Is it irrational that I really want to see those things on a Tauren? *smiles and goes back to absorbing more excellent shaman teachings*

I think we have established that some guilds have lots of glaives and low amount of kills while others have barely any and a ton of kills.

I have to /flex with our guild's luck - 3 kills, 2 OH glaives so far

But giving out infractions is fun....

It is kinda cool how they ignore all the previous infractions in falling all over themselves to post about their loot history. A little bit like people running around recklessly in TF2 and all running into the same heavy or something.
