Intense fight, definitely the hardest in TBC so far. My only gripe is probably healer-stacking, though we did it with 10 and 1 spriest and I'm pretty sure we could swing 9 and 2 spriests without too much trouble, so maybe it's not too bad. It's been a long, long time since we've had a fight that we spent more than 1-2 full nights of wipes on and not come away with a kill. It's definitely an answer to the question, "Can Blizzard make a fight that will truly challenge top guilds but still be doable and not unfair?"

Congrats to all my guildmates on a job wonderfully done, and apologies to the many excellent folks that spent most of the past week on the sidelines due to the lack of DPS slots.

Edit: Just to clarify, I definitely do not think that this fight should be nerfed. We'll be doing this with 8 healers in a couple of months. We brought 10 healers to our first Shahraz kill, too, if I recall. It's fine. There's no real way to reduce the nature of this raid damage without just making the fight inherently much less dangerous.

This fight was immensely rewarding to get through and it's been a loooooooong time since I could say that. Kael'thas was the only other one that comes close.

Out of curiosity, if you say you can do this with 9 healers, do you use the LR strat then? As we feel LoS cheesing is a bit borderline we went with another strat and how I see it we sure as hell won't do that with 9 healers.

A similar approach, yes. And LoS has nothing to do with it at all, it's just a matter of some people outranging some abilities. Without getting into too much detail, almost every strat I know of does this to some end. Unless I am mistaken, there is no way to completely neutralize Images. If you could, that'd probably be unintended. But Twins is basically largely about managing them, and there is a spectrum of strats -- the more people you expose to them, the less damage each individual takes, and the fewer you do, the greater the danger those few face. Vodka's strat exposes ~7 people to them, VQ's and variants expose 18 or so but not the entire raid, and SK's exposes the full raid but no one person or group gets focused. You're just shifting stress from one area to another.

I doubt it. I think each Sunwell boss so far is harder than the one before it, and I expect that trend to continue.
