yup, born in 1979 here. i think a lot of it had to do with my love for all things nintendo and a strong bond to the arcade as a kid.

on a side-note, last night i discovered a bar just a few blocks away from my apartment has a street fighter 2 (actually, a capcom combo) cabinet you can play for free. i was out way too late!

Flight Simulator on a ZX-81 was my first gaming memory, closely followed by some form of early Civ type game on the Vic 20. Man i'm old.

Considering I was born in 88... I remember following my brothers around with their Nintendo stuff. Also, my mom kicked our butts on the first level in Mario world.
