This is the loot:

which was unseen at the time, plus the Gauntlets of Annihilation.

As for the fight itself, it may or may not be overnerfed, but I reserve judgment for the time being. We went into this buffed far beyond the point of reason.

Do you think C'thun is too easy in general now, or just because you were all buffed to hell and back again?

Also, what was the final count of (big) buffs? I've know there were Zanza's, Flasks, and the Onyxia buff, to say nothing of the less huge buffs like Mongoose Pots, Wizard Oils, etc.

We had Zandalar and Onyxia buffs, along with some people bringing flasks, Blasted Land buffs, and zanzas, and most everyone using typical stuff like elixirs, oils, and protection potions.

Also, the fight is too easy now, in the sense that we killed him in two vuln phases where we never even felt any pressure at all. We could one-shot this version of C'Thun week after week with minimal buffs and very little challenge.

There are some easy ways to make the fight more difficult while still making it doable, and I'm sure he'll be adjusted accordingly.

If I were to fix it, I'd make these changes:

1) Small Eye tentacles continue to spawn during his vulnrable phases.
2) After a vulnrable phase ends, Giant Tentacle spawns behave as if you just started the fight(ie a Giant Claw spawns immediately, then a Giant Eye some time later, on a seperate timer).

And go from there.

If you aren't a goblin, why not?
If you are a goblin you rule

When they say go all out, we go all out

I had 7639 HP in caster form, and I somehow managed to lose my Zandalar buff (was sitting in CH and it faded from me for no reason)

The consumables really did help, but I do think that the fight was overly tuned.

It may have been a combination of insane buffs / damn near perfect execution, but the fight felt somewhat easier than it should be. However when you output as much DPS as we were last night, it's hard to say either way.

I was pretty typically buffed for an offensive caster, I think. Flask of Supreme Power, Greater Arcane Elixir, Brilliant Wizard Oil...between buffs and equipment I was running around 1,000 +damage and 15% spell crit. Normally I have +583 and +2%. Quite a difference.

Oh, and Moch had just a bit more hp than me. :(

Yeah, this is why I'm reserving judgment. We would've steamrolled the buggy version we dealt with on Tuesday with the prep we had last night. Hell, we might've even made some real headway on the pre-tuned unkillable version (though it was still unkillable regardless). When you take a fully BWL/AQ-geared raid and use nonstandard buffs to boost raid DPS by over 50%, it's hard to draw meaningful conclusions about a fight's balance. (To put things in perspective, with our raid DPS that we brought last night, we would kill Ragnaros in 90 seconds.) I think he may need to be tweaked a tiny bit upward still, but we'll see. As noted elsewhere, if guilds that have minimal C'Thun experience all start dropping him this week, then he's too easy. Guilds that have been working on him since February have put in the time/practice needed to have the encounter pretty much on farm mode from day one. I'd be curious to hear from guilds that are just seeing C'Thun now about how they find the fight.
