You know that rock on the side of the room. Go sit on it, and chug a greater NR pot, have someone yell when he gets to 21%, you can run in and suicide, chug another pot, and hope not to die running away :P.

When we did him the other day we had Rogues in full time ;O He isn't really healing intensive either, so I don't see what the big thing is with Rogue's wanting to go AFK during the fight.

Edit: They weren't top DPS though that's for sure, but they were in full time contributing.

I think this encounter is very well done, fun to execute and learn but as a rogue, it is too unforgiving. Are we there just to take a space from a ranged DPS class? Perhaps they could have made the bugs not cc-able, with lower HP so we could serve some purpose. Or it could be like Huhuran where you need a certain amount of people eating the AE nature damage. I can't really think of another encounter where a certain class is such a liability, since having another ranged DPS would be a huge upgrade.

Yeah, it's a bit irritating to have that sort of class imbalance on a fight as hard as this one. Yeah, rogues aren't very useful against Shazzrah in MC either, but who cares? it's Shazzrah.

On other fights in AQ, Blizzard has done a great job of allowing classes that seemingly aren't so useful in a given fight at first glance to excel in niche areas that make their contributions valuable overall. Sartura is a moving blender and rogues can't DPS her 3/4 of the time, but when she becomes stunnable, they're really helpful. Viscidus seemingly relies on mages, to the point that people who hadn't really figured the fight out yet called bullshit and blamed Blizzard for making such a mage-intensive fight, when, in reality, rogues are amazing for shattering Viscidus and killing the globs to actually damage him. And so forth.

But when you wipe to Ouro at 1% and you see that each of your four hunters did 160k+ damage while each rogue did 60k and half of them had to be battle-rezzed midway through, that sucks.

I find it pretty amusing that hunters used to complain all the time in beta how they were useless in 5 man encounters, and some actually wanted the group size increased to 6 so that they could actually get a spot. (Hunters were weak at the time so many of the complaints were valid, though some still complained).

For raiding, the "holy trinity" is really Tanks, Healers, Hunters. It seems with most new boss fights, often times the best way to learn them is to throw more hunters at it.
