As a whole? No, US/EU are pretty even these days, with EU having caught up after a later start. There are some great EU Horde guilds (Curse and Nihilum come to mind).
("Months behind" is an expression -- just saying that Loatheb kills are a matter of personal comfort but we're beyond the point of formal rankings being relevant.)

I don't think anybody really cares THAT much about other guilds' progression beyond "good work guys, congratulations"; only pubs are gnashing their teeth.

Being a west coast guild as well, we've experienced the same heart aches being the last guild to raid in NA, however we've been able to do well by pushing ourselves raiding on weekends to make up some difference/

I believe so, I was actually NZ horde when that started, so its hilarious to see it still going.

A friend re-rolled on a fresh server that was created on April 20 2006. 6 weeks later, they'd killed Nefarian with a mix of mages in blues/Magisters and priests in Dire Maul gear. Two weeks later, AQ40 opened on their server (funnily enough, they were able to do the hand ins whilst levelling and they went to grind Maraudon for their NR gear when the mobs were still red/yellow) and their MTs tanked the Twin Emps in a mix of blues, Might, Wrath and even the green belt from the Timbermaw quest in Winterspring. Cut to present day. His guild have taken Thaddius to 50%, their tanks have at least 4/8 Dreadnaught and they've stopped doing MC because they disenchant most things there.
Not sure that the US advantage counts for much these days...

Brimstone is mostly a shade of its former self, the vast majority of players that were in the initial guild have burned out and quit, so no, it's definitely not Brimstone.

I remember asking how far along Vek were, thinking that they wouldn't be too far away from RH, maybe pushing into BWL some. "Oh they've killed C'thun already." This at a time when the top Ravenholdt guild hadn't cleared Raggy. Quite a shock.
