So Alchemy is being nerfed and there is a fair chunk of Alchemists that seriously consider dropping it and going for Tayloring because of the very nice gear you can craft as a Taylor. I understand that the Alchemy nerf was much needed for raiding since the consumables situation became rather crazy in Naxx and TBC. So I was thinking what about a buff to Alchemy that only Alchemists can wield. My idea is to make Alchemists stone upgradable with some trainable recipe that will require a fair amount of Primal Nethers and make it so that not only gives 40% increased effects from potions but a 40% increase in elixir/flask effects. This will give some incentive for people to stay in alchemy and balance a bit the imbalance between an Alchemist and a Taylor (but maybe create a very overpowered Alchemist/Taylor). What do you think?

I'm a Matt and I think a lot of other people are too so this doesn't really apply to a lot of us.

Mana returns on the alchemist stone is more than enough to spec alchemy for mana using dps classes ('cept warlocks).

I think this is a silly idea. Being able to farm your own consumables is already a big advantage over people that have other tradeskills.
