hi elitist jerks,
i visit your forum very often because there is for sure no other guild out there starting those constructive discussions as you do. i think all of your members are nice guys willig to help others.
so why do i write to your forum?
first of all i want you to know how hard it is for us EU players to have any constructive diskussion with any chance being read by someone at blizzard. we are not allowed to post to the US forums so all we can do is hoping anyone in the USA has the same problem/idea we do. thats very frustrating.
so i post up here my 2cents to the US world where things are heared and sometimes changed by being heared...
first of all i have to say i loved patch 2.1.0. our guild stopped raiding magtheridon after our 1st kill try on 16. april because it was so frustrating having respawn after 45 minutes. our raid is full of casual players raiding 1 or 2 days a week. to raid 3 days a week we need a player pool of 60 and even with 60 players we are not able to raid with 25 members all 3 days. so you can see farming all those pots before 2.1.0 was very exhausting for us. those 45 minute respawn timers were the hell. many of our players quitted wow with words like "i have to work 40 hours a week and in the evenings when i want to have fun and play some game with nice guys i have to bear even more stress than in my work...".
now those respawn timers are "fixed" to 120 muinutes. thats great but i ask myself "why the hell are they nerfed from 45 minutes to 120 minutes and not just deleted at all?". who does need that ugly respwan? in which way is it realistic that something i killed respawns after a some minutes? if blizzard noticed those respawn tiomers of 45 minutes are stressing the players why didn't they delete them at all?
at the day 2.1.0 was released we started raiding again. 1st we killed magtheridon and it was nice to have 105 minutes full of trys, but as you know some players have pc problems, anotherone has to quit because of work or children getting awake and you have a lot of breaks - and all the time you know "fuck in xyz minutes we get respawn - SO HURRY UP!!!". that is REAL stress. why so we need to be stressed while we want to play a game and have fun?
i would love blizzard for deleting all those respawn timers in instances but those timers which are part of a bossfight.
ok this was my "whine" about respawn and casual players... lets talk about "cheese" and the defensive warrior.
hmm where should i start. i think its ok to start with the biggest error in the design of the wow class warrior - the rage generation.
a warrior has to ways to build up rage the first way ist to deal white dmg and the second way is to suffer damage. the most important job of a protection warrior next to build up hate is to suffer as less dmg as possible to save healers mana and survive the big hits of a boss. but as you can see getting less damage leads to getting less rage what leads to a decreasing hate build up while increasing your gear. thats absolut unfair. the better my tanking gear is the worser is my ability to build up hate. if i dodge/parry 10 times in a row my healers are lucky by saving lots of mana, but the fury warriors have to stop making dmg because i am no more abe to use a style on every global CD. in my opinion "passive" rage generation has to be interchanged. dmg you avoid should generate rage not damage you suffer. so your rage generation will increase with getting better gear.
i hope some day blizzard will notice this... and "fix" it....
from "cheese" to "grapes" - have you ever seen a feral druid with 29.000 armor and 20.000 hitpoints tanking gruul to get those hate full strikes? in some bluepost there was written "protection warrios are still the most hate generating class in the game" - and i believed it. stupid me....
i use this style cycle:
shield slam, revenge, devastate, devastate (after 5 sunders up).
shield block is always up after CD ready and i start spamming heroic strikes having more than 50 rage.
my weapons are thunderfury, sun eater and kings defender. all with mongoose enchant.
i got a block value of 514 to push my shield slams and i tried all 3 weapons in different boss fights. my TPS value is about 700. ok using crit stone, windfury and heroism buffs this TPS value, but shamanes are rare....
our feral druid is able to out TPS me at any time even getting nearly 0 damage.... have you ever seen a protection warrior being the hatefull strike tank at gruul doding 3 or 4 HFS in a row.... its a shame to our class not being able to build up nearly as much threat as a feral druid can easily build up being the offtank....
if blizzard realy takes crushings hits out of the game - this will be the end of the protection warrior....
so no time left to drink all that whine, i have to raid gruul now.
