I recently watched the Last Resort movie of Hydross. I am wondering how the raid leader is able to switch the shamans into the rogue group (last group on the right side of Kerps Raid UI), in a fight. He does this at about 1:30 in the movie with the shaman "Flaw" and later on with a hunter/priest an than again with another shaman "Thunder" at the second phase switch of Hydross.

I was under the impression, that since patch x.y (i don't know when) groug setups and general raid changes even like MT Targets are not possible while in combat? Is there any possibility to change groupmembers via macro in combat?

Not only are they possible, but assistants can do it aswell, a simple drag and drop

Groups have always been adjustable midfight. If you can't you are either not a raid leader, raid assistant or you have a mod that breaks the functionality.

"Empty your WTF and Interface folders and try again..." (I'd suspect CTRA for breaking it, get rid of it already. Get sRaidframes and ORA2 as replacements from wowace.)

I'm also experiencing the group swapping problems that B.Lan is referring to. My raid screen becomes blanked out in combat, so I'm not sure how a person can be swapped from group to group. It may be a mod issue, though. Any comments?

That is exactly what happens to me.
The original WOW raid screen (setting screen) is blanked out... And Maintank target setting via CTRA is not possible aswell.

Theres a few mods that seem to taint the raid window/spellbook. I recently decided to install a mod called Multitips that allows more than one item window open at once, and that broke it (not entirely sure how, but it was definitely that mod that did it for me).

Edit: As that thread points out, it can be a mod that seems entirely unrelated to raids. MoveAnything was really bad about this, update it if you have it installed. Keep your mods at the latest version, and when possible avoid using ones that haven't been updated for a few months, since something could change underneath them and cause really weird UI errors like this.
