Season 2 gear advice for Fury Warrior
Hi, new member here nice site been reading it for a while but wanted to make a post as the people here seem to know alot more than the general public on the wow site.
My question is this for a human fury warrior i want to purchase either a mace or sword to take advantage of the +5 weapon skill.
Next week I will have enough arena points to get my main hand weapon followed by my oh in a couple of weeks.
So the stats for the mace and sword are pretty similar been the top end damage is higher on the mace over the sword but the low end is adjusted so ineffect the mace has different low end damage.
So what I would like to know is there any dps advantage in pure pve situations only take one over the other?

You should have put this in the PvP forum imo.

Creating new topics over such a narrow minded subject most probably is. Feel free to check the Dung Heap abit.
In case you are wondering why I react so violently against this; EJ used to be a great WoW forum (well, it still is of course) with a very low noise ratio. Since ~a month ago, a ton of new people joined (which also is great I suppose). Downside is that the forum is being spammed with new narrow topics that get heaped after a few minutes/hours.
edit: anyway, I'm no mod, but I've been around long enough to see what happends to topics like this.

"ItemA vs ItemB in terms of PvE DPS" is, in most circumstances, better suited in the DPS Spreadsheet thread of your choice / class.

Look, Lactose, we'd rather you didn't eradicate the whole human race.

My question doesn' relate to pvp except that the weapons are purchased by way of arena. I wanted to know purely on a pve point of view how the mechanics work with the two different low-top end damge of these weapons and how it effect pve dps?

It's simply cleaner having item comparisons in terms of PvE DPS happen in threads devoted to calculating PvE DPS.
Imagine every comparison having its own thread, and you should be able to see why it's a bad idea.

I'm just taking a guess that higher topend is better for Heroic Strike, what-have-you, and better DPS will be better for sustained DPS. I'm a shaman though, so don't hold me to it.

Perhaps if you'd actually read the rules, or maybe lurked a bit, people wouldn't be so unfriendly.
