What I want is a rather simple task to perform. That is to get rid of the WorldMap icon on my Minimap. Yes I know I can make a macro to hide it but I would prefer to write something into my config files to hide it for me. Any ideas on this one?

make an addon with 2 lines :

MiniMapWorldMapButton:Hide()
MiniMapWorldMapButton.Show = function() end

If you make the macro, does it stay hidden the next time you log on?

If so, then just make the macro to hide it, do it once, and then delete the macro.

No it won't, the macro would only affect that session.

To save you the time making the addon (if you knew how to do that, I doubt you'd have to ask here ): WorldMapButtonHider | World of Warcraft @ Curse . I havent tested it but I'm pretty certain it still works.

Alternativly, I can highly recommend Simpleminimap (wowace).

Sorry to jack your thread and all... but since i haven't posted enough and / or haven't put in 30 days of membership... well.. simply put i can't make my own threads.. so here is a question. I need to find a nice tutorial or at least find a way of having SWStats make another segment or try to make it so i can keep track of a particular fight and still have another tab have the running total for the night.

How do I change the fonts in SCT (scrolling combat text) from wowace. I heard that you could just replace a font in the <fonts> folder in SCT with a new font and name it the same as old one.. I did this but no effect. I found some nice fonts and would really like to change from the ones that comes with SCT
