This is my first post so please be gentle. In the last 5 days I have read this thread from beginning to end and I have taken in a lot of information and I mean a lot of information, I appreciate every bit of it i have read and for those of you that run the numbers on all the various abilities I applaud you greatly.

After reading all the post with the new patch due out and I know a few have touched on this topic a little bit but I am looking for a more solid answer, Is revenge going to be the way to go? if so what will the talent tree look like? where will most of you put your points? also what glyphs will you be looking at using or will you continue to carry an assortment of the various glyphs? as some have said they already currently do.

With the changes Blizz is putting in to the prot spec with buffing revenge I want to be as ready as I can be for the change. I am geared enough to enter ICC but have not had the opportunity as of yet any and all help is more than welcome I want to be at my very best upon entering ICC. I have currently re-spec'd and placed the 2 points needed into revenge so that I am ready for the switch and would be more than willing to change if I must.

Edit: Got my answer in the SimCraft thread. Quoted Below.

"The most recent PTR build has updated life tap mechanics: It now has a base mana return of 2400, and scales with 60% of your spell power. This makes a talented life tap better than dark pact until you reach 5800 spell power.

I've updated the OP to reflect this change, along with updated BiS profiles."

Also mentioned, they have fixed the bug where increased amounts of spirit will take away more health when lifetapping.

So I suppose I should lose the points in Dark Pact/Amplify Curse and put them into 2/2 Imp LT.
My suggestion would be to drop dark pact and pick up 1/2 Destructive Reach.

Great update Consider.

I'm trying to gain some clarity on the ultimate decision of best-in-spec. Throughout beta, frost subspec seemed like it came out on top.

Now I'm reading that Blood Subspec is indeed superior for most ICC-level raiders (who have at least 2-piece). Is this the general consensus?

Or are most DKs here still considering the advantages of frost?

Need some advice

So as the title says I need some advice regarding warlock dps.
I`m currently at destro / affli spec and well got gearscore around 5400. My spec and glyphs are here:

The World of Warcraft Armory - Darkseid @ Ravencrest - Profile

To make a long story short my dps sucks as destro. For example last weeks Sindragosa fight I did 3.8k dps. and it truly sucks in my opinion. My rotation should be fine. It`s: CoD --> immo --> confla --> CB -----> Incinerate until new conflagrate and the immo etc.

Can`t honestly think of anything else except my rotation or spec sucks. Does anybody have any other destrospecks or opinions towards how to improve myself.

Thank you

@Lyedon

I think you would be far better off entering a new tier with effective health rather than avoidance trinkets. Also I think the hit gems are a tad overboard. Possibly swapping those to stamina and changing the chest enchant to 275 health. That should net you 3-4k more health with a better trinket. From what I understand bladeward is rather useless, maybe you could put a weapon chain for the hit if you really want it.

From the looks of things, Revenge will definitely be worth the button push, regardless of group pull or single-target. I currently use Shield Wall, Last Stand, and Blocking for my Major glyphs, as I find that the reduced cooldown times certainly help with progression fights. Please note that using Glyph of Shield Wall without speccing into Improved Disciplines is a waste - you either take both or you take none.

Bladeward has proven somewhat useful for me in ICC (due to the lower dodge chance, extra parry is always appreciated), but I'll likely go back to Blood Draining once I get a new weapon. From personal experience, I've seen better performance out of gemming for a mix of avoidance and stamina rather than pure stamina.

I use Defense/Stamina in yellows, Expertise/Stamina in reds, and Stamina in blues. If the socket bonus is +7 stamina or higher, I usually go for it. If the socket bonus is something silly like +4 dodge rating, then I just socket pure stamina.

I have a simple question for 3.3.3 :

Which wep will be better in the Frost Sub-spec, Byantroll non-heroic or Shadow's Edge?

With the recent change in rupture, is it now a viable ability for 51/18/2? Maybe dropping fleet footed and put those two points in blood spatter?

hey guys,

I've played an Unholy DK for some time now and also got some good equip like T10p4 and Bryntroll, and I'm going to get Shadow's Edge in the next few Days. But since the patch is coming tomorrow I'm not really sure which Subspec I should choose, because the new Frost-Subspec seems to be very fun to play, too. Can you help me?

T 10 change 3.3.3

I'll be interested to see what you all see from this change I saw in the notes before coming to work today.

I am lacking 264 tokens and still have the 2pc t9 going on because of it. The extra crit will be hard to beat with my current gear setup, so it's probably still not worth it until my 264/277 pieces, but I do wonder how this proc will look now.
