Ok I skimmed through these forums for a definite answer or kinda a answer like "it depends on play style" on spirit/haste BiS Gear VS 2-4T10 and couldn't find a solid answer. I'm not soo good at doing all those calculations that you gentlemen do but I know the numbers I need and I'd much rather Have the BiS gear with haste at 856 then put points into CF and loose Living Seed. It just seems smart heal or no that the 4T10 just doesn't cut it for me because its all theoretical healing not straight concrete I have these stats in front of me that I get from BIS. Any thoughts on that?

Dropping wp is definitely not recommended. It easily outdamages Morbidity or Subversion. Moving points from Dirge to Subversion may be useful if u have enough sources of rp due to priests/druids. (In my case at 60 rp every 60 sec both are about even).

Generally: WP >>>> Dirge >= 2/3 Subversion > 2/3 Morbidity

Moving 1 point from epidemic may in fact be optimal for your personal dps but only increases the raid dps if u have another UH dk/moonkin as there will be moments without any of your diseases up.

Has anyone noticed a loss of dps with this new patch? I usually pull a sustained 9-10k on blood friendly fights, had a hard time breaking 9k in icc last night. Stayed around 8700. With no changes in gear or raid comp, not sure what gives. Discuss

0/17/54 will simply pull over 17/0/54 and 14/0/53 in fights where 3.3 unholy pulled over blood with closer difference.That's quite obvious i think since that's the consequence of physical or magical part of our damage being more relevant in specific fights.

I'm hoping Blizzard will actually do a small HS or DS buff to compensate, but I doubt it. And SS won't get buffed or I will be really suprised and that's only due to PVP implications and the small change it went through on this patch.

So, what do you cats think about dropping imp. Mangle? I'm 3/5 FA right now and according to my Deathbringer log I would gain about ~13k total damage from 5/5FA Ferocious Bites at the cost of 20 energy I would lose with 1/3 imp. Mangle (or 30 energy if I completely drop it). I'm not sure if this minor gain is worth making my rotation less smooth. Sometimes having to spend extra energy on mangle might get in the way of executing an extra FB without Rip dropping.

this is my fury warrior. i have only been raiding icc for about 2 weeks. my itemization is garbage i know but i cant do much about it but hope for drops...lets put it this way, in about 2 and a half weeks, i went from 2650 wow heroes gs to 2990 when i get my shoulder enchant. basically i quit the game for a few months and just came back. this stupid needle scorpion will NOT drop for me and its pissing me off.

anyway i have no idea how to start my own thread even though ive had this account for like a year... so i decided to reply to a thread and ask questions.

my glyphs are whirlwind, cleave, heroic strike

here is my rotation:

Bloodthirst, Bloodthirst, Whirlwind is the base for my rotation. i use heroic above 50 rage (substitute cleave for heroic on 2 or more mobs). i use slam when it proccs and my base rotation spells are on cooldown. i use heroic throw when im low on rage and am about to get rage locked instead of a bloodthirst to save my ass. i pop all my cooldowns as much as possible on boss fights. thats pretty much my rotation.

my gear im thinking is my problem. i have only 1 piece tier 10 and no armor pen trink like grim toll or scorpion to get me armor pen soft capped properly. my weapons kinda suck...

what i dont get is my bloodthirst only crits 8k raid buffed no cooldowns up, 8.5 with berserking procced or my ring... how most fury warriors in my gear level are critting 13k+ raid buffed... this makes no sense to me.

im not sure on 25 man since i didnt get to do icc 25 last week but icc 10 i was pulling like 6.5k on fester which sucks.. any pointers for me?

also my spec is like it is because i dont need the hit talent. people ridicule me for not having precision but with my current gear setup i do not need it. i had 550 hit rating at once point with the talent and i did a test on the boss dummy with 10 minutes of melee swing for 8% with talents then 19.74% with talents. with 8% i missed 14% of the time with my white hits. with 19.74% hit, i missed 8% of the time. im guessing this is all offhand missing so it makes little to no to no difference from all that hit and it is much better used focused on other stats and talents. this is why i use dual blade butcherer over my citadel enforcer claymore for an offhand weapon.

thats why i specced into heroic fury.

also im really questioning without tier 10 4 piece bonus whether or not bloodsurge is even worth the 3 talent points. it is only about 7% damage of my single target dps.

so yeah any pointers, tips, or advice would be awesome, thanks

I use 5/5 FA myself with 2/3 in FI and no SI. Even going this build, the only thing I can see putting those 3 points in would 3/3 FI and leaves me 2 points to either put in I LotP, Nurt Inst., etc. Nothing really ground breaking.

Try it if you want but I personally would advise staying the same spec imo.

Here's our log of our first night of heroic 10s. The druid and I switched for Saurfang, and a loose fanatic ate me on Deathwhisper. Paladins are ridiculously strong on most of those fights and particularly on Saurfang.

I think the risk of 6 energy every minute costing you a FB are pretty low. With the change I think the 3 points it frees up become more flavor than anything else. You can choose to maximize damage by being able to fill both Feral Aggression and Feral Instincts. Over a 4 minute fight those 2 points in FA for 13K are 54 dps which is a .25% dps increase from each point and seems to be a poor return. I switched to full FA and FI last night but the dps difference doesn't seem worth it, and I am leaning towards putting the 3 free points in PotP even in my cat spec. The utility of this is pretty high for me as it seems like at least once a week on a boss I end up going bear if a tank dies or an add is going after healers, however a lot of the time this just buys enough time for the tank to be rezzed & buffed before I become a puddle on the ground. Being the hero is great, but I'd rather live too.

I'm in a bit of a jam here. I just got my 4set lat night finally, and I have two different offset sets I can go with. The question is what, and why.

I could go with the Exp/Hit cloak of of 10 marrowgwar and the Hit/Haste chest off of 25 factionchamps, wich would put me over the hit cap if I used greatness. However, I could use the Crit/Haste cloak off of 10 gunship and the crit/haste chest off of 10 Saurfang, the only downside to this is that I would have to use the Mark of Supremacy and I'd have to get most of my hit from that.

My goal right now is to get the Hit/Crit chest off of 25 Marrowgwar and then use WFK alongside Death's Verdict. Unfortunately due to my guild not being the best there is, we don't have access to Tiny Abom in a Jar. (Reason for this being I don't want to take the time to hardcore raid during the summer, although I am more than capable.) So this really messes with the leeway I have to choose my offset gear.

Also, as always, glyph of SoV would be changed to Exo if I used the EXP cape so I don't need the extra EXP. I've been testing the each of the gear sets back and forth on a dummy for a while now. However due to RNG and the probabilith of different procs, and with human error, I get different results almost everytime. One is not distinctively higher than the other. Any ideas on how to get more accurate results or ideas for which gear set to go with?

Such as a option to condense the gear listed on the sheet to what's relevant to end game.

I also know Aldriana is busy these days so then again it may not be a worth while venture for the current sheet.

For reference, I've been lurking on this board for 3+ years now, signed up 2 years ago. I am in a semi raiding guild(1-2 nights a week, 3-4 hours a night 10 man, and every other week 3 hours in 25 man), so my gear choices are limited to what drops and what my guild can/does run. So gear has to be dropped from the list for it to be added there.

It was more that I was thinking like Lifeleaf, a simple (off by default) option to show older gear on the sheet. Yes some of us in lower gear levels are concerned with our performance, thus the looking at the sheet to begin with, follow it blindly, no. I'm not saying the sheet should be cluttered with gear from Naxx. I would be willing to enter the gear and send along the additions to whom ever wants/needs it. I was more thinking that there are some slots that gear is hard to come by in 10 mans, Daggers come to mind, backs, I think we can all agree, that ilvl232 T9 is bad. In my defense, i got those legs way way way back in 3.2 when ToC was the best there was. Evaluating the values of haste/agi/AP is what i use the sheet for.

Again, just because i'm not decked out in heroic ToGC25 and ICC25 (heroic) gear does not mean I don't care about how my toon performs, or on the the current state of rogue mechanics, or have not been paying attention to these forums.

Download rawr and juggle around with that until you get the best possible set suitable for you and your raiding style.

Thanks for the infos on armor pen.

What about the sigils rotations during combat ? Anyone has an idea ? I'll try to grab the sigil of the hanged man asap to check it out. Could be fun.
