Hi,

I was wondering, I've seen some pala's picking up this talent for the 6% dmg reduction. However, then you need to have RF active ofc.
So thats +80% threat from healing, how much threat are we talking about here?

Enough to be above the dps? (And below the MT/OT)

that would be news to me, if enrage were to only proc on physical attacks. i believe its always procced on twin valks and that dmg is certainly not physical, unless im wrong (could be). on the talent just states " after being the victim of a damaging attack" which to me means every type of dmg but then again this is blizz so...

oh and its usually not till you start getting into icc gear (reason being this is the only gear with enough arp to support it), you really want to be able reach the hard arp cap or at least to get around it for it to be worth gemming for full arp

First let me say that I'm normally an arms warrior and have only done fury for a few fights ever. However, I would like to say the enrage spec could be useful on certain fights, such as the Dreamwalker fight.

World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

As you can see the enrage buff was up around 25%, which is only about a total 2.5% dps increase over the entire fight but also helps with some burst and if coincided with DeathWish or trinket proc's amplifies this increase.

So for most fights I would agree the enrage buff is not very helpful, however in fights with adds that may not always be held perfectly or a melee hit from an ooze for instance on Rotface it may be viable. Again I can't be 100% sure as I am normally running arms and can honestly say I'm not very good at fury but this is just what I've noticed after just the few fights I've ran fury.

Hi folks,

I really enjoyed playing 2h Frost until the nerf some months ago, after which I switched to Unholy. With the patch changes (and me not really liking having to take care of pets) I'd really like to go back to Frost as soon as I'll get my second 264 Frost Giant's Cleaver.

Now, my questing is regarding trinkets: I currently have DBW264 and DMC:G (no luck with Death's Choice) equipped. I didn't buy the Frost Badge trinket because to me it doesn't seem that great for Unholy. But how good is it for Frost? Is it worth the badges, especially as I will be the first one to get WFS264 if it's ever gonna drop?

Thanks in advance

2 HP of effective healing causes the same amount of threat as 1 point of actual damage caused. Paladins specific cause half as much threat with heals as other healers (so 4 HP healing = 1 damage). This got implemented in vanilla to prevent (to a degree) paladins (not necessarily tanks) aggroing fresh spawns by spam healing.

Even with RF active, paladins still cause less threat per point healed than other healers (but paladins tend to be on top of the healing done).

Tanks have their Damage to Threat increase coëfficients as well.

If you overaggro a tank by healing, even with RF up... The tank isn't doing his job properly.

Any warranties on the no overaggro rule are voided by critting a judgement on the boss pull. :-p

My anecdotal experience is that the War Token does in fact offer a marginal dps increase over DMC:G. If you have to badges to toss away, like most of us do nowadays, I recommend picking it up because the stacks build up very quickly with frost and while the extra haste on the trinket is not ideal, it still does make a GoD rotation feel a little more comfortable.

With that said, if you are about to get the WFS264, don't waste you badges. The WFS264 will show a larger improvement for you.

hit/exp

It's not mandatory to cap those stats, it's more an issue of threat. Wearing 4 piece, at least for hardmodes, is much much more important that squeezing out your hit and expertise caps. That being said, if you're having extreme threat issues and are getting initial md's/tricks then either your - A. Not using the proper threat rotation, or - B. in need of more threat oriented gear(i.e. hit and exp gear).
TLDR - Mitigation > Threat unless threat is an issue. Put on your 4 piece and work from there.

I got [Taldaram's Soft Slippers] last night and even though I lose my expertise cap by 7 points, Rawr still says they're better than [Greaves of the 7th Legion]. I know Rawr is usually always right but I just wanted to get a second opinion.

That's a great idea, it completely escaped me to do that. Although I do hate when it puts a GCD lock on your spells when it procs sometimes. As for using the bomb to attack the Vile Spirits, I'll be sure to test that tonight if we go in and kill him.

Thank you for the response. I figured as much but as titled wanted confirmation. I aiming towards new professions as well since skinning and lw aren't very profitable to my character. Engineering and Jewel-crafting seem to be the way to go for Pvp so I guess that's my next step

Actually threat is a problem, hence why i got interested in that hit/exp cap.
It might be because our hunters dont usually use MDs or even FDs untill mobs hit in there faces, and rogues ToT themselves for dps increase.
On few gimmick fights like queen, festergut, princes threat isn't a problem, but trash and others are quite a close call, way beyond confortable level aka our dps sits at around 5% bellow me and if I make a "mistake" it might end bad.

My rotation btw is: keep mangle and FFF on cd always, keep 5 stacks of lecarate and refresh when its almost expires and the rest is filled with swipes.
On thrash its swipe spamfest. Everything has maul macroed, plus maul glyph ofc.

Any input on that? What might be the problem? Cause our dps are pretty well geared and I myself have not the most shaby weapon/neck/rings coupled with other gear.

Sorry if this is not exactly the place, but theres no warlock thread in the pvp forum. :O

I always thought Warlock = 7% hit for PvP but all top afflictioneers seem to aim for 5 or 6%.
Why is that?
