So having read the changes, I'm somewhat worried regarding our rotation. Whirlwind is being made into a straight up AoE move, allowing it to hit everything, but with less damage than it could before. That in of itself isn't too bad. But I don't see anything added that would take it's spot in a single target rotation for Fury. They made no mention of new fury attacks. Is Heroic Strike really going to be something we're stuck spamming every cooldown bloodthirst isn't up? Fake Edit: Just saw the sunder armor talent. A 0 threat 50% weapon damage sunder will help out some, and make us even more the go to people for using sunder armor when you don't have a warrior tank.

Heroic leap sounds fun, it's a shame it's usable in battle stance, with the talents that let you use it in any stance deep in the arms/prot tree, so chances are I'll never see it. Also curious why they didn't specify a stance for Gushing Wounds, perhaps that will be usable in berserker? If they gave any indication I missed it.





As an aside, Vengeance seems like a really interesting way for them to balance tank threat at higher gear levels. It's the last thing I would have guessed, but it seems like it should be pretty nice. And the critical blocking sounds as though it'll put Warrior tanks back up to the top on mitigation unless Paladins get something ridiculously broken for their mastery.

Inner Rage (Level 81): Whenever the character reaches a full 100 Rage, he or she will gain a buff that causes attacks to consume 50% more Rage and do 15% more damage for a short amount of time. This is a passive ability so it won't need to be activated by the player. The goal for this ability is to provide a benefit for hitting max Rage instead of it feeling like a penalty. However, we also don't want warriors to feel like they're supposed to pool Rage and do nothing until they hit 100, so we'll be closely monitoring how this plays out during the beta testing, and making adjustments as needed.
I think this will definately put an end to HS spamming, especially since the ability is passive and the player has pretty much no control over it. However, if one were to pop Bloodrage or other rage generation talents when this procs it would be a nice threat boost.

I'm still not totally sure if this will actually be worth training for though because I can imagine times when you don't want it to proc and will cause you to be rage-starved very quickly. Assuming the rage costs of abilities remains the same this will make Shield Slam cost 30 rage (without cost reduction talents). That's one third of your rage bar for just 1 ability...

I'm a little concerned about the spirit -> hit talent for boomkins. If they really want us to be wearing leather caster pieces, does it not kind of imply that we'll be over-budgeting spirit, and therefore hit, and still having spirit be a 'wasted' stat?

As an Ele shammy, who felt that shammys got the short end of the stick in WLK, this is welcome changes to help our spec and at least give us an upper hand to be competitive.

For the Resto shammy, like the new spells and upgrades, me personally i hate healing anything. but it kinda of sounds fun for what they have in store, Shammys have been very good with Raid heals but with the new AOE spells, i think we will be a near requirements which needs those heavy raid heals.

I really adore the fact that Blood will be a Tanking build exclusively. The self healing and damage absorption utilities tied to blood make it all the more feasible Tanking spec. However the loss of a physical DPS spec is somewhat confounding especially for a melee class whose damage is supposed to scale off the weapons more than passive armor stats. We had this option as Blood DPS(though I have never DPS'ed in a Blood spec in WOTLK... )...

Some changes on my wishlist ...

1. Do away with a talent like Rime which for me is a sub-par talent and another GCD watch.

2. Runic power generation depended upon melee Haste as opposed to spells, more melee haste = quicker Runic power generation and would tie in very well to IIT making this very tight rotation a little more flexible and easier to grasp. I thought I had seen some literature on the forums to suggest something similar being shaped up by the Blizz Dev team.

3. I would like to see Death runes out of the window...I dont want to spend my time watching my rune cooldowns or spamming rune recovering macros while i am DPSing a mobile target through Fire and Slime pools.

WoW -> Patch Notes -> 3.2.0

Unholy Blight: This talent has been redesigned. It no longer deals damage to nearby targets. Instead, when you deal damage with Death Coil, the target will take periodic damage for 10 seconds equal to 20% of the damage done by Death Coil. This damage accumulates in the same way as Ignite and Deep Wounds.

I get about 70 dps more using Shadow's Edge over Bryntroll in my gear in the sim with SubFrost spec. Does that sound about right? Was under assumption Bryntroll is better for the particular spec.

Hello,

i´m not very good in editing Spreadsheets so here is my question:

Should i Use the Wrathful Gladiator's Spike (T2 - Ilevel 277 - 250DPS) over Heartpierce (non-HC)?

Linking the Items seems not working at the moment..

Thank you, that was it! I could kiss you! I was having a hard time healing but now I know why, I did the same healing wave in resto mode 6600 hp!!! Now thats what I call an improvement!

The changes do have some potential, but quite frankly, at this point my overriding thought is how much fun it's going to be playing tug of war with gnomes.
