Hey I'm sorry to ask this question, but i don't have Microsoft office on my computer, and therefor cannot use the spread sheet.
My armory link is The World of Warcraft Armory - Ziga @ Kel'Thuzad - Profile
And my question is that I'm still using 2 piece t9 because i read a while ago that the two piece t9 245 was better than upgrading to the 4 piece 251 t10, but after obtaining a DBW i'm trying to get to hard cap and could reach it faster by just switching to t10. Should the extra stats+set bonus make up for the loss of t9 set bonus for me?
Read it again in a few days, Vanilla Rogues are back and BETTER
At first I thought the Rogues changes were pretty silly and that nothing was addressed. But when I read the post again(really 3rd time) it actually seems pretty nice.
Some folks have not leveled a Rogue recently from scratch. I think a lot of the unhappy Rogues out there feel that the only changes being made for Rogues are for the BiS crowd. Folks in the lower gear ranks and lower levels are not treated nicely at all by certain specs or abilities (AoE damage reduction from Feint is only for Wrath players,... Hunger for Blood rotation and Mut spec's need for Webbed Death screamed BiS only player,..) . The lower levels and abilities have not been maintained at all. Things were just tacked on at the high end. Recuperate plus other changes seem to finally address that. Its a needed change for the Rogue class.
In Vanilla my Rogue was really fun to play. Combo Points stayed useable on a mob for a short while after death(for non target abilities, ie SnD) which allowed the Rogue to both continue fighting non-stop using the energy lulls between mobs and to have no overkill because you finished with CP generators to continue on. Overkill was in a sense refunded. You actually were always searching for you next target because they didnt stay on the corpse too long. More damage, to cause more damage!!! You were always thinking about who your next target was,... The Rogue play style was fluid back than. They are bringing this back. And on top of that, they give you ability to save CP for an attack or ability!!! Good Rogues were actually pretty awesome teammates to have back than. They would stun, blind or just take over agro to help you out all the time because their trigger finger was faster than tanks and they were more situationaly aware. Cant waste those CPs on the dead corpse. They were nice enough to die to give them to you... The nonsense about selfish DPS Rogues is only for folks who never played Vanilla WoW where your rotation was the entire instance!
On that note, Smoke Bomb is the perfect addition to a Rogue's integral usefullness to a team. So they give us Redirect(Cata) inaddition to CP off dead mobs(Vanilla). So with the zerg and insta death of Wrath, the Rogue's ability to use utility talents were lost. With things being toned down, more health, ... we should be able to help teammates again. But again, not only can we use Redirect to stun that add faster(and move back to the still poisoned current target) we now get an AoE team save. Lets be realisitic, no class is going to get an ability that changes raid encounter design. Forget Smoke Bomb for raid bosses. Smoke Bomb is for trash and 5 mans and to save your team mates from themselves because Rogues are the master of everything they see. Priests might be able to Life Grip and PW:Shield, but a Rogue is always gonna be faster with KS, Blind and Smoke Bomb.
Now they are removing all the flat and boring crit, damage, did i say boring talents. Well that should actually leave room to get back a usefull and useable Expose Armor, Sprint, Kick, ...
I say go back and re-read the post in a few days. I certainly already made a post about being dissapointed about a forward looking preview with no details from Blizzard on their forums a day or two after it went live(i like to think things through first, guess it wasnt enough).
Am I wrong. I mean the devils in the details and we have not seen the actuall trees.
Edit: Also wanted to add a note about Combat Readiness and ToT. To me it seems we're getting a nice elite/boss tanking CD. Think about it. A 90%, 80%, 70%, 60% and 50% hit. Keyword being hit. All you're doing is delaying damage and death. In PVE you still need heals to survive and with a 50% damage reduction you should be able to tank an elite or boss long enough for a Battle Rez in alot of situation. In PVP, keyword is hit. Youre still going to have all the dots, fears, stuns being applied. All it does is delay death. Seems like a pretty nice CD to me. Wish we had it instead of binary Evasion cause a couple miss dodges is all it takes for death. Onto Tricks of the Trade. I have it glyphed. To me ToT is perfect example of how Rogues played in Vanilla WoW. A good Rogue uses it on the right target, at the right time (holding onto it sometimes) and it directly impacts teammates in a positive way. Its fun to use because properly used it needs skill and helps others.
Not sure if this is because I do not have enough passive Arp on my Rogue yet but RAWR is showing that gemming AP is better for me then Arp as combat. From my understanding though Arp is better than AP for Combat until you are capped. Again this may just be do to my gear but I figured it wouldn't hurt to put it out there.
For Arp to be more valuable than AP you need to have a certain amount on your gear. RAWR is right that you should be gemming AP at the moment.
Ok, so this is my new favorite thing to do in game: in Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle, when you get to the room with the statue bosses, you click the orb to summon them and then keep fucking running. The first will spawn and come running down the hallway as you are approaching/engaging Skadi the Ruthless, and the rest will spawn in sequence as you kill them off. The idea is to keep moving, chain pulling the entire instance, killing the statues as they catch up to your party. You win if you can kill King Ymiron before Gortok Palehoof catches up to you!
The best I have done so far was to reach the bottom of the stairs before his throne room, but this was with 2/5 from LFD and having only run it this way twice. (It was basically a spontaneous idea that I had and it was fun as hell, and a bit more challenging for an instance that is otherwise a snorefest.)
I tried this once, by accident, with a guild group: One person was not aware that we'd be skipping the Gortokk encounter, so he started it while we were moving ahead. But after getting the 4 mini-bosses, Gortokk himself never came. When Ymiron died, I ran back to see what was taking him so long, only to find that he had reset and all the mini-bosses were back as well.
Anything you had to do to ensure Gortokk would not reset?
Just in case you guys aren't aware, the links to talent builds at wowhead.com no longer work for some reason (at least on my computer/browser). You may wish to repost them for people who are looking for that info.
They work just fine for me.
However, what doesn't work for me are the [item] links. I have no idea why, as quoting the post and hitting on preview displays them just fine.
In the OP I just see instead of e.g. [Herkuml War Token].
Also the link just points to http://.wowhead.com/?item= with no www and no item ID.
(The same behaviour in FF 3.59, FF 3.0.19 portable and IE8. Win7)
yes,i have 20 expertise i im wondering what is better enche on gloves or food with expertise?
P.S and one simple question for hit...
I have 399 hit right now and i think there is alot of miss or maybe i wrong,in raid I have >17 hit for spells,.,Can someone tell me what is optimal hit for averange DK gear not end game gear? ... its frost dw dk !
Hope someone can clarify something for me.......I have had several people tell me to use Mark of Supremacy with my Whispering Fanged Skull trinket. Others have said to drop the MOS and use my DarK Moon Card Greatness trinket. Which is the best combo for my melee unholy dk?
This has nothing to do with importing from Rawr. It's from the changes to the Armor Penetration calculation. The debugging code to print out the calculation each time your Armor Penetration changes was left in. I'm betting you have some trinket with Armor Penetration which is why you are seeing it printed out often. For others that have a static Armor Penetration rating, they will only see the printed calculation once.
I'll go ahead and remove it and get a new version out, since printing out the calculation doesn't really help anybody else exception for the developers.
Maybe its just me, but frankly Im not really excited about many of the changes in the Xpac. Bloodlust has always been around since BC, Fire doesnt really need another AOE spell, and wall of fog is interesting but pvp situational. The Mastery bonuses are nice but it seems to me unless their are significant stat changes Arcane will still be the most viable pve raid spec.
