Honestly, when I'm main tanking, OTing or whatever, all i do is use enough Icy Touch as needed. There's not much point to use a rotation with them. That's worked out well for me, i've had 0 threat issues on singletarget since the buff, and I barely did before that (10man, often without sunder). This goes for blood, dualwield frost or even unholy, but I only tried this one week in the first wing.

Hello.

First I'd like to say I'm new to EJ.com, so forgive me if this is not where I am supposed to post this, or if I am supposed to post it at all.

I am having some big issues with my overall gear compilation. I have some BiS items (non herioc) but I think that I need to replace them with something else, because they All give hit rating, and I am way over hit capped.

I am currently wearing : [Gendarme's Cuirass] , [Cryptmaker], [Tiny Abomination in a Jar].
These the 3 items that make me have 521 Hit rating. I almost have enough primordials for Shadow's Edge, do you guys recommend I change anything else, and with what?

In my opinion you should do as you said and change your weapon to Shadow's Edge. After you do that you could, if you don't have any good gloves already, go after [Fleshrending Gauntlets] and then wear those instead of tier gloves and in turn wear the tier 10 chest. If you did all that it would put you at 248 hit which is 15 under cap. when and if that all happens you could change your boot enchant to icewalker or if you can always get in a group with a draenei and you would be all set.

How can u tell which fights it is actually good to use rend in your rotation. i just started useing rend in my rotation and i recently got my 4 peice. so there is a little bit more that i need to pay attention too but i just dont know if useing rend half the fights is worth it.

Hi guys, I officialy give up. It might be me but when i read about when i need to change Gems from Agi to Armorpenetration. I have read that i need to reach the softcap 400 before doing so. So you question is then is that with gems or without? since Im currently on 390 ish. I am in doubt what to do from this point on.

hello, first of all i did not know if to put this on the arms thread or here so i apologize if its in the wrong thread or if it has already been answered (looked for info on my question but no reliable answers so far).

is it worth it to switch to 4p t10 as arms? anyone with hands on experience using the 4 pieces?

for me at the moment im using 2 pieces of t10 and 2 of t9 for the extra 6% arp, i was thinking of switching to 4p t10 once i had my hands on DBW to offset the arp loss. while checking on landsouls spreadsheet equipping DBW while 2p t9 2p t10 nets me more dps than if i switched to 4p t10 (and regeming str for excess arp), but the spreadsheet has no info (or so ive read) on the 4p t10 bonus.

so like stated above i would appreciate if anyone with hands on experience with this set bonus could give me some info.

Steel Bladebreaker vs. Hearpierce OH

Just wondering, when I replace Steel Bladebreaker with Heartpierce in my OH, the spreadsheet indicates much higher dps (a little under 100 dps gain). Is this correct or should I keep a faster dagger in my OH? I thought the envenom modeling pays bigger dividends using the faster OH?

Hello, I have a question about comparing gear and if I should break the T-10 4piece bonus. Some fights have a 5 min enrage and others have 10 min. Does quad core play a bigger role in longer fights?

when I select options for using
Plaguebringer's Stained Pants - Item - World of Warcraft
Gunship Captain's Mittens - Item - World of Warcraft

does rawr really take into acount loosing the 4 piece bonus?

also, rawr is telling me to drop my runed cardinal rubies for reckless ametrine?
is haste really that important? everything I have read here seems to value haste so much, but doesnt that just burn through your mana faster?

I suppose that since IP is harder hitting, I suppose that you are right that Mut will lose slightly more from losing those 5 procs.

My point with envenom was simply that proccing envenom before target switching allows the Mut rogue to stack the poisons faster than a Combat rogue, such that upon killing a Valk, a mut rogue could potentially have the 5 stack of DP up and be proccing IP and the combat wouldn't even have 5 DP up. Same with CP generation; mut rogues building CP faster allows extra envenom, allows faster poison ramp up. Regardless, both rogues will only lose out on up to 5 applications of their main poison while ramping up DP. Other abilities that depend upon poisons being applied on the target will be available from the first stack of DP, and are raid debuffs which would apply to both rogues. The only other skill affected is Envenom from which the damage ramps based on DP stacks, however AP has always been a much higher factor to Env damage than DP stacks ever have.
There are two kinds of discussion, one is that we exchange information and build upon the argument so we both gain a higher level of understanding. Another kind is you talk to yourself and completely ignore what everyone else is saying and focus solely on your own argument. That latter is a complete waste of time. It's clear that the mod don't find your informations completely misleading, so I am just gonna say you are right, and I am wrong. We can end this here.

I've been using this spec, The World of Warcraft Armory and I've been having absolutely no trouble maintaining threat and high dps numbers using a standard DW dps rotation, however, it seems I reapply my diseases well before they are about to expire making my points in Epidemic a bit wasted.

I'm trying to decide if these 2 points would be better spec in Black Ice for additonal damage (threat is absolutely not an issue as I sometimes have issues pulling off other tanks and have to switch to Blood Presence or stop threating for bosses like saurfang or Festergut) or if anyone had a suggestion on a better location for these 2 points.

MY sim is telling me that Thundering Skyflare diamond beats out the other meta's by about 60 dps. Has anyone else come across this?

This has been discussed to death. And, as seen above, even refined by aldriana into a small, comprehensive, readable chunk. If the spreadsheet says it's a dps increase it's probably a dps increase. Unless you can think of a significant and intuitive way in which the spreadsheet could be misled, there is no reason to post "the spreadsheet says this is better but I thought I heard it wasn't." The same applies to the hit discussion above.

They're not even close. RED was significantly better even when rogues weren't hitting the crit cap. These days, you can practically read RED as "increases your damage done by ~2%." That is possibly overstating things, but not to such a degree that TSD comes into play.

Rogue: Simple Questions/Simple Answers
Rupture spec/glyphs will typically do more single target dps *if and only if* you have a trauma/mangle debuff and can reasonably maintain a high-rupture rotation. The difference between the two is minor. If you cannot meet both qualifiers without sacrificing situational awareness, stick with evis-only.

This specific issue has been discussed to death, even in this very thread. Do not confuse simple questions with lazy questions.
