Two-handed Frost will never out DPS a DW Frost, even with SM. Let it go people. It's dead leave it that way. If you want your guild to give you a SM then roll Unholy. Blizz is thinking they will bring 2hand Frost back in Cata, but I personally hope they do not. For the rest of this expansion it's DW Frost, or don't play Frost at all.

Ooze variable can throw a wrench in this system though since the hunters can end up split between 2 targets.
Precisely.

More Burst?

I was at the org dummies today, testing out what seal does more burst. Seal of Command Vs Seal of Righteousness. I was doing this to try to improve my dps on Putricide. I did 4 (Four) 2 minute tries on the dummy. 2 with SoR and 2 with SoC. Yes, I know its not a very big sample to pool from but SoC did more SEAL damage and yielded more DPS then SoR even when i Glyphed for SoR.

I came to the conclusion that seal of command does more burst overall. Yes, SoR will have bigger judgements but I don't care about that so much.

So, I guess my question is.. Is Seal of Command more burst then SoR? Did I not do enough tests? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I can't remember the exact layout of the dummies in Org. but is it possible that you were cleaving other dummies with SoC?

Is the glyph of wild growth worth it? Considering it is quite rare to get all 6 targets healed from it unless you are spamming melee with it.

As your haste goes up, the relative weight of haste will go down, and similarly with AP. The other stats will affect them in less obvious ways, but it basically depends on how much "passive" haste you end up with on your gear. If you get a ton of nice gear with haste on most slots, you'll probably find that AP is worth more, and vice versa if you don't have much "passive" haste. So just check the sheet to see. If haste is over 2.0 then you're better gemming that in most cases, and if it's under, you're better gemming AP where possible. If you're in a similar gearing situation as me, you may find that haste ping-pongs around 2.0 with every slight gear upgrade and different gem type you use. In this situation you just want to gem whichever is higher until haste tips to the other side of 2.0, and then gem the other stat. Obviously you won't regem 15 gems every time you get a new piece, but if you find haste is 2.2 with a new piece of gear, then you should gem it with as much haste as you can fit in, similarly, if haste drops to 1.8 with your new piece, you'd gem AP.

As to the other question you (might) have asked, I'm not sure which stat is best compared to the other on movement heavy fights, but I'd put my money on AP, if you're just asking about which is better in theory. Movement heavy fights will weight your overall damage towards yellow damage because you lose a ton of white swings while moving but your energy still pools. So unless you have an excessive amount of time off target (which doesn't really happen) you'll still get to use basically "all" of your energy on yellow attacks, while missing a good chunk of white damage. So once the damage leans towards yellow over white, I would guess that AP pulls ahead in theory. AP contributes directly to all yellow damage where as haste only sort of indirectly contributes (via your energy regen talent).

Still not sure exactly which question you're meaning to ask, but hopefully that answers them both.
It was the latter, whether it is beneficial to use haste in movement heavy fights. And you answered it. Thanks a lot, it makes sense.

Here are my options:

Titan-Forged Rune of Audacity - Item - World of Warcraft
Nevermelting Ice Crystal - Item - World of Warcraft
Abyssal Rune - Item - World of Warcraft
Sliver of Pure Ice - Item - World of Warcraft

Which two are best for a) Affliction 56-0-15 and b) Destro 0-13-58?

Thank you.

I use this macro for MD. You do have to tailor it to the tank, but thats not too much work.

Use the "?" Icon
/showtooltip
/target TANKNAME
/cast misdirection
/assist TANKNAME

This will target the named tank, cast MD then target his/her target.

Suno, can you please update the link in the original post to the DK gear list that Mouse started? I took over the updates and added quite a bit more gear but we moved it to Gravity's new site. The new link is DK Tank Gear List : Gear. Thank you.

Clarx,
With that much resist on 2nd fight, did you still get the quest completed?
As it looks like you resisted 100% on 2 of the breaths.

Not sure how to use this to choose gear, should I select all gear that is technically available to me at this point in time?

And in order to see how much of an improvement a new piece really is do I just add said item to my available pieces and run a new calculation?

Thanks for your patience! lol
