You could use the aggro options to see which tank currently has aggro.
Well, they'd all (or both) have agro from something. The answer here is that it's one of those times you'll just have to look away from the bars. Perhaps set /focus on one of the Princes - that'll at least limit your options.
Just watch where they are with respect to the Shambling Horror and cleanse when they're next to it(this is assuming they don't let the plague drop stacks). I wouldn't really suggest tacking on more addon memory for something that can be done easily without the need for an addon.
This. The plague dispelling should be less about you figuring the duration and more about the victim getting to the Horror when they need to be. Then you just have to look up and see they're there - mouseover dispell and woot woot.
Had Sculpin IPA on tap last night; I usually never call an IPA smooth, but this was. It didn't have the intensely bitter hoppiness, and that's not really a bad thing.
I also had Lost Abbey's Angel's Share. 12%, dark... it was like bourbon wrapped in chocolate. It was a little tough to drink at first, especially after the Sculpin, but it warmed up and was fantastic.
Sculpin is absolutely delicious on tap or by bomber. It makes me so sad that it's this hard to find Speaking of awesome, just wanted to express my love for Pliny the Elder (and Younger of course), both of which were at the Extreme Beerfest in Boston a couple months back. Magnificent.
I don't think anybody smart thinks that 10 man tuning is inherently easier. It isn't. But for anybody not at the cutting edge of raiding, generally the roadblock is getting 25 people who that all perform up to snuff. Even if the 10 man is tuned harder than the 25, the advantage of dropping down to your 10 "best" is always going to be ideal if you cannot get past the 25.
This - then it just becomes how to manage the feelings of your guildies when you have to declare your A-team
My unholy sub frost is my offspec and as such can't get the best gear/trinkets.
Currently I use a macro w/ Mark of Supremacy, speed pot, and my racial for my gargoyle.
I actually use all hit w/ that trinket.
My current haste is only 285 so I'm not worried about hitting the GC cap.
But w/ the value of haste being so high, wouldn't Shard of the Crystal Heart be better?
I've been hitting the training dummies, and i'm seeing a 300 dps increase.
My guild is doing H LK 25m atm and we are trying to push our single target dps on raging spirits during the transition phases. I was wondering if anyone could tell me, even with my high levels of haste (CL cast time is 0.98 seconds or something like that), if it is more dps on my SINGLE TARGET to use CL over LB if there are adds there for it to bounce so its LO chance is equal to LB's.
I don't care about any damage done to the ghouls or padding the meters, all i care about is the damage done to the single raging spirit I'm targeting.
Have anyone with full ArP tried double FC instead of FI // FC ? Considering that our main damage will come from obliterate and melee dmg i don't think its stupid to have a higher up time on the 15% str buff.
It's trivial to get improved icy talons and dw, even as a tank. Sacrifice points in killing machine and/or black ice to do so. The TPS seems higher (anecdotally, i haven't done calculations on it) since you're able to rune strike much more often due to the faster speed of a 1h vs 2h.
Personally, I only use frost when I need to provide icy talons to the raid.
I guess my question is, doesn't the loss of points in killing machine and black ice negate any TPS you gain from going DW in the first place?
Is there another benefit to using DW other than TPS? Is it viable to use fast tanking weapons for defensive stats, or would that reduce your TPS even more? If it is vialble, is the loss of stamina compared to a 2H weapon worth the extra gain in avoidance?
I know that the short answer is to plug the different specs into the DK simulator and check the TPS numbers, but from what I understand the sim doesn't model tanking very well. Also, my DK is just an alt I tank on for alt runs and such. So if anyone has already examined these questions or could even provide anecdotal evidence that would be very informative for me.
