P.S. I checked all the fire mages in top-tier raiding guilds in the US & EU. I didn't see any of the enchants that Rawr suggested on any of the mages in the respective guilds. I have a strong feeling Rawr's wrong, but I don't know what's causing it to suggest such things for my mage.
Q: What about a single-disease rotation/spec?
A: Those died back in Ulduar when Blizzard made all our strikes %-based scaling off of diseases. Long story short: you lose more damage than you gain, do the math if you don't believe me.
I have to disagree with this both me and another frost dk are running single disease and are hitting 9k dps single target self buff'd.
if you want to try it its really easy use this spec 12/56/3
Priority is Howling Blast, OB, Blood Strike(to flip runes), Frost Strike to runic dump
I just got shadowmourne, and I am being told if I get an addon to cancel the 10 stack buff or 300 strength buff every time. People are telling me it is a dps increase because of the rate the stacks increase. The ~2700 damage hit would be a better dps increase then the 10 seconds of 300 strength. Is this true or false?
I need some gemming advice on my rogue. I very recently, just switched to pure haste gems as much as possible to push my haste rating up to 868, but then resulting in a massive AP loss.
Previously I socketed 40AP into red and 20AP 10 haste into yellow sockets. This previously resulted in 500+ haste and 5.3k AP. Kinda nervous about gemming pure haste, so would like all your inputs about it.
EJ FAQs and guides say AP and haste are the money stats. However many top-end muti rogues I see push their haste. Is AP not that important in this case?
If haste is sheeting out as better, it probably is better. Attack power has been a very competitive stat for most of the expansion, but generally there is a tipping point where you hit so hard that hitting more often turns out to be a marginally better deal than doing a few more points per swing here and there. Whether you've hit that point or not is something I can't say without running you through a sheet myself. Ultimately, haste and attack power are often so close together at current gear levels that I wouldn't worry too much about the sheet being wrong in any case; they're both pretty "safe" stats to gem anyway as mutilate provided that you're meeting your hit and crit cap needs are already met without gems.
Unless you've manually fixed the stats for Heroic Heartpierce (and LK weapons), they are incorrect. Aldriana's sheet, and my modified version for that fact, has it listed as having 125ap, rather it's real world stats of 95ap, so it gets valued higher than it actually is. This 30ap discrepancy is usually enough to put the Heroic Ribspreader in the lead with it's raw stats.
Heroic Heartpierce is on the Gear sheet, line 197.
These are small enough bugs that they don't warrant new releases of the sheets, hence why they haven't been done since their reals stats have been found/updated to.
Thank you for the clarification. I'll make the change and see if it is consistent with the iDPS java app.
So After grabbing the new build of the spreadsheet ive not had accurate reflections of my Hit/Arm Pen numbers. Spreadsheet right now tells me that im -36 for hit when my in game hit is at 167 (should read -3 as I understand this). Also it said my armpen with NES was -49 and I switched a gem to make sure this was incorrect as well as now im -29 according to spreadsheet but under 100% in game with nes proc since i switched one gem back to str.
I have also tried to go back to the older spreadsheet and it is also showing incorrect data. Not sure what is happening unless the armory is incorrectly linking info to the spreadsheet today for some reason. With all of this I also noticed that I need one more point in exp that isnt showing either in spreadsheet.
This is just pie in the sky dreaming, but it sure would be convenient if searing totem put a debuff on whatever it was attacking that would allow the fire nova to be centered on that mob. It would solve a lot of the movement issues. They could tie it into an enhancement talent if they felt it was too powerful for other specs to have (although I don't think it would be).
Damage wise HS Vs IT, quite obviously HS wins. However you don’t need extra damage when DPS is on your ass in threat. So altering the occasional HS to an IT to keep a lead over DPS is more important than the DPS lost. Consider this, if you had even more of a lead in threat over the DPS, the DPS chasing you would not have to worry about threat and may do more DPS than the DPS you lost from altering a HS to an IT.
Yeah, this made a ton of sense. I hate the idea of 'spamming' IT to be able to keep threat, but at least we have the opportunity to do it. Last night on LK I would do my normal rotation as usual but instead of using death runes for heart strikes I used IT for most. It was absolutely amazing the threat gained. I can use my tanking weapon again! Thanks guys.
