I think they will rearrange the spellpower/int ratio from our wotlk-weapons, to balance them with the new-addon-weapons.

Hey there fellow Paladins,
Something has been bothering me this past week. I have put my character in Rawr with all relevant raid buffs that we have in our raids (including the 15% ICC buff). Rawr assumes I should be doing roughly 12.3k dps then.
However ingame I have never been able to hit 12k dps, I'd say my best so far would be around 11k dps on a fight like Festergut on Heroic Mode.
I was wondering if you guys notice a difference between Rawr and the ingame numbers as well or could perhaps offer an explanation as to why I see these differences in my specific case.
I'll add an armory link just in case so you can compare gear to shown numbers as well. The World of Warcraft Armory - Cyrane @ The Maelstrom - Profile
Anyway thanks for any insight you could offer

Hey, Im a typical arcane mage, as are 99% of the mages on my server. I am wondering how the dps of FFB, especially in ICC, holds up against arcane, and is it worth switching? When I first hit 80 I really enjoyed FFB, but I felt like it was to crit based, and thus, arcane was a more stable, higher dps spec. Any thoughts are helpful. Thanks.

I think what he was getting at is only to use Arcane Barrage when moving, unless you cant get a Missile Barrage to proc simply because if you keep casting Arcane blast past its 4 stack it will own your mana. Better to drop the stack with a ABarr than to burn your mana to death.
Cheers =)

just a random question.
Since fire is bufd so much in 3.3.5 is it realy worth it to go for fire. With arcane u can better adjust to diferent situations and bos fights. While fire just let you take 3% more spell dmg which doesnt seem good.
I am arcane geard and if i go fire like this my dps is most times decreased with like 500 dps(on fights like festergut) and i take 3% more spell damge so that doesnt seem good (i agree fire is better for extreme long fights like LK).
So what i want to know if its realy worth it to go fire and is the dps realy increased?

Simple answer is no.
Factors include:
A nuke that is relatively weak and slow, unless it crits
Inability to take advantage of Torment of the Weak
Yes it has access to Precision, and at lower gear levels, thats important as it help bridge the Hit gap, but as your gear gets better, there is less and less need for hit from talents. The Icy Veins is nice, for the same reason, at lower tiers of raiding it wasn't necessary to try and cover every raid buff, but as you poke into ICC, the fights are less forgiving, and do require you to have some buffs, and Bloodlust/Totems/haste buffs seem to be something you really need to have.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Depends on your gear, the more gear you have, the bigger is the gap between fire and arcane.

So far I have tried Grid and Vuhdo, and none of them have the same visual appearance as this. This one is very simple, easy to read, shows all details, pleasant to look at, and doesn't take too much space on your screen.

Grid certainly can look like that as i had my grid setup looking something similar. It just requires some tweaking in the config options.

I believe single target non-moving arcane will out dps fire, however, with the need for movement in ICC on the majority of fights, I've found I've pulled out more damage on a more consistent base with a 20/51/0 fireball spec.

Has anyone started rigorous modeling of the impact of haste applying to energy at level 80 rating conversions yet? I've done some searching through these forums and haven't found any work on the topic yet.
If no work has been done, I'll likely start some work from scratch to see what results I can find.

you'll rarely be right on the magic number from RNG, reaction time, lag, defensive abilities you'll use, etc...

Hi. I have a quick question thats been bugging me.
Armory: The World of Warcraft Armory - Cygerstorm @ Hyjal - Profile
My gear isn't all that bad, my guild finally got 10man LK down and are getting to P3 in 25man consistently, so heroic gear is coming soon enough. My question is, should I drop Glyph of Life Tap, given that my spirit is so low? I only have 229 unbuffed, but alot of people, including this threads main page says I should be at 800-900 spirit by now, unbuffed!
Thoughts?
Edit: One other question. Normal mode Nibelung or Abracadaver, given my stats? I'm god awful at theorycrafting. I'm just using a staff until I get a good MH to accompany my Spindle OH.

Currently in BiS gear in Patchwerk-like fights Fire is slightly ahead of Arcane which is a big chunk ahead of Frostfire. So if you want the FFB playstyle, you can just as well spec Fire (20/51 or 18/53) and do comparable damage to Arcane.
