Anyone find a better opener? I had a pretty good rank on this week's kill. Living bomb glyph over pyro glyph seems ideal as well since you have 2-3 available long-lived targets which all must die for about 85% of the fight.

Haven't killed it yet, but we're starting ranged at the back of the boat on the left set of stairs. You can prepot, LB, fireball the first drake, then start running and get 2 scorches off on the first drake. By this point you're at the center of the ship and the 2nd drake is flying over, and you can LB it and get a scorch off. Less damage to Goriona, more damage to the first set of drakes.

I know this has been dead since FL, but any chance we could revive this for T13 content? Looking at logs of some top hunters, I'm sure there are some encounter/spec specific tricks to push max DPS beyond wearing BiS gear.
For example, what's the best way to maximize DPS during the black phase of H-Zonozz as BM? Leave pet on the boss while Zonozz takes increased damage, or move them to each eye and lose DPS to travel time and no damage buff?

This is what I do, and I think it mostly agrees with the complex rotation on Landsoul's spreadsheet.
As soon as execute phase starts, spam it to build executioner. If CS is available, use it. Anytime CS is available, I follow it up with 3x execute to fill every global with CS debuff up, followed by alternating BT and execute until CS comes off CD or I proc 4pc. Generally I like to line up DW to cover two CS uptimes. If creche is not procced, stack recklessness with DW and execute spam during CS, otherwise save reck for the next time I can execute spam during CS. Inner rage on CD as well, preferably stacked with CS and other CDs. There are several fights in which you generate enough rage from dmg done and taken to incorporate HS during execute phase.
During non-CS I tend to use slam procs if BT is down unless i'm rage capping for the free dmg which also allows me to build a bit of rage for HS/follow up with a more powerful execute.
Execute hits so much harder that I see no reason to use any other ability while CS is up on the boss, even if you delay a potential VoD proc. Since as SMF both BT and execute benefit from the 20% dmg increase, that really doesn't change anything, but as far as whether to use BT or just execute spam, it would depend on rage generation. I would definitely use BT with the 4-pc.

I would say lower it only if you find yourself capping out on GCDs. I'm sure during madness that much haste is detrimental.

Just to follow up on that log, World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis
Seems Shadow of destroyer continues to stack after fury of the destroyed proced. So you dont loose the agility, Untill the 6seconds pass.

Never drop Swift RJ for Nature's Cure.
1) You cripple your HPS output when not using cooldowns. Cutting Rejuv spamming down by 0.5s per cast is very important when you're blanketing huge raid damage. It's also very important when properly utilising Jaws of Defeat.
2) You shouldn't be dispelling. Other classes are able to dispel with much more efficiency than we are due to talents/Glyphs.
3) If you have to pick up magic dispel then consider my current talent build: Talents & Glyphs - Game - World of Warcraft
I pick up dispel due to heroic spine of deathwing, if our main dispeller dies or is gripped at a bad time he calls it out and i step in to help.
Edit: I wanted to add that this thread is becoming a bit too much of a "This is my raid situation, what should I do?" instead of a conversation about healing as a resto druid in patch 4.3. The posts on 4t12 not interacting with full health people with Searing Plasma on heroic spine for example (including logs and conclusion) are good, the posts on your individual healing layouts are going to be completely skipped over by majority of readers. Lets try keep it informative.

I had a quick question, the answer to which I can't seem to find anywhere else on the forums.
Which of the following 2 weapons is better (both same ilvl)
Windrunner's Bow vs Lava Bolt Crossbow
They have the same DPS, but their speed and top/low end differ. What is the way to go about assessing these kinds of situations?

In my eyes it's very simple. Check your logs for the following:
if you did and you've got more than a few percent of mana at the very end of the fight, then you should get rid of mana-reg. This can be done by:
- forge of spirit into: haste to breakpoint > mastery > crit > haste
- check your talents (you don't need Furor for example)
If you can't heal the way you want because of mana issues, you can always forge back some spirit. Probably every druid with an ilvl > 385 can forge about 500-700 spirit.

You can sacrifice mastery for haste till ~1750. It's still dps increase on single target fight.

We were finding that any direct damage to Goriona puts the entire raid into combat early, making the combat start timer unreliable. A large number of people would end up ruining their ability to pot later in the fight because they were being placed in combat a moment too soon. Warlocks casting Bane seemed to be the only thing we could do to her that would not put the whole raid into combat early.
Perhaps there is some aspect to this we were missing? You are debuffing/dotting her as she flies over the bow of the ship, correct? And the rest of the raid isn't being put into combat prematurely?

So far as I could tell, nobody was being put in combat early. What happens is you enter combat when hitting Goriona, then will drop combat when she flies out of range (along with everyone else) for about 3-4 seconds, then reenter combat when the drakes get in range and they are hit.

Would be nice if you made a guide Lamperouge cause you obviously get something i don't. Can't really figure out to do or what to prioritise when playing Masterfrost, i'm geared for it, just can't figure it out.

First of all, sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find anything about this.
When using No'Kaled as your MH and the Stage 1 OH and using Hemo as your main CP builder, does Combat actually pass Subtlety in dps? Shadowcraft shows that Combat is ~2000 dps higher.

Here are my stats:
haste-1.30
hit-15.66
crit-24.10
expertise-27/27
mastery-8.89
Do I have enough Mastery? Or too little? Also, do I have too much hit chance? Should I trim the fat a little?

There is no need for "enough" mastery because it is the weakest stat currently. There is no such thing as too much hit rating until you hit the hard cap, which is next to impossible in this tier without stacking gems for it.

The haste cap is 2005 (1505 with 2T13).
Tested ingame, and another confirmation from a very good mage Fire 4.3 Compendium
