Using Sunder is a benefit for the single warrior as you can't ignore all the armor a boss has. If I'm not mistaken there are 13.xx% remaining at a lvl 83 Boss; even if the tooltip says you're at 100% (Thanks again for making figures "easy and clear" like at expertise...anyone? ;-) ).
That said you need 2x Sunder + FF or 3x Sunder to have maximised DPS. For the whole raid the benefit is even bigger as you have multiple phys. DPS which might not be ARP-capped.
Including Sunder in the rotation is not that hard. There are a couple of free GDCs. If you're getting used to it, you even can manage to keep Sunder AND Rend-Dancing within your usual "rotation". Even if you had an extrem luck with Slam!-procs I'd drop one Slam for the sake of keeping up a 5 stack Sunder.
I am kind of curious. I'm relatively new to this forum, and I want some advice.
According to this site, Expertise is rated quite low on the stat priority scale. I have the opportunity to replace my Castle Breaker's Battleplate (chest) with a Tier 10.5 chest. In so doing, I could maintain my four-set bonus while allowing me to replace my T10.25 pants with the Legplates of Painful Death. The Team Robot simulator suggests that this would result in a DPS gain, but I am leery because this would drop my Expertise from 26 to 16. I've always proceeded under the assumption that I have to cap Hit Rating and Expertise, then follow the stat priority listed here on the site. Should I buy into what the simulator is telling me even though it runs against my gut reaction? I kind of want to dump the T10.25 legs because NONE of the BIS leg armor for death knights is the Tier gear....the BIS slots recommended here put the Tier gear on head, shoulders, chest, and gloves.

It's been stated many times if you are DPSing as Unholy then Expertise is not something you have to be too worried about yes some is going to help you but you will not suffer a DPS loss dropping fromt eh Soft Cap of 26 to an Expertise of 16.
If you are DW Frost Build this is a different story as DPS in this build is more relient on Expertise to maximise it.
So in essence if you are Unholy make the change it's a massive DPS gain for you.
The Tier legs for Deathknights is honestly only good for Blood DPS or Frost DPS builds and even then there is much better choices available the Chest on the other hand is a BiS Slot item and well worth the purchase.
New to these forums, first time post. I've done a lot of reading here, am impressed by the rigor and the comprehensive nature of the info presented, thanks very much. It's very helpful, is somewhat overwhelming/confusing at times.
For example, I don't think I grasp the explanation given for spreadsheet values. Inputting my stats (newly lvl 80 tauren enh shaman):
The yellow box tells me I have 16.59 'room for more crit' yet the orange box contains this large negative number: -544.06
Per the earlier post with the spreadsheet DL link, "The amount of the excessive Hit rating is shown as a negative number on the orange box" - given a hit rating of 439, how can I have 544 excessive hit?
Also, I'm seeing lots of discussion about the need to be spell hit capped, but I don't know how to find out what my spell hit rating is. How can I determine this? I.e. where is this shown in game?
I recently replaced the 271 axe from arthas with a 277 bloodvennom blade
When changing weapon in the spreadsheet it suggested enchanting mongoose for a 1.3 dps upgrade on mainhand and 0.7 dps upgrade on offhand.
I thought maybe this made sense because I'm still quite far off the critcap but when I changed the enchant in the spreadsheet it suggested berserking again for a 10.5 dps upgrade on mainhand and 6 on offhand.
Have anyone experienced the same thing or even better, can someone explain it?
Your issue is happening because the sheet takes your berserking into consideration when valuing mongoose, thus when you remove berserking the base of which mongoose's value was calculated from has changed. Though either way, mongoose was stealth nerfed some time ago and is no longer competitive (Aldriana hasn't had the time to update his spreadsheet to reflect the change yet).
Rets in our raid for h lk are responsible for dispeling soul screechs instead of necrotic plagues since we have a pally tank usually on the spirits going in to phase 2 and 3.
1 gcd per soul screech may not seem too much but we do have trouble with spirits going into next phase.
During phase 2 switching off target, setting new focus to lk for defile casts makes dispelling even worse, since first valk wave hits b4 the last spirit is dead some times and just so happens our pally tank is backup stun so she needs to be dispeled on the spot. With my focus being lk and target being valks cast bar for the spirit is MIA, the last few weeks ive just been going on the screech animation to dispel, any addons out there can have multiple focuses and shows cast bar on all? or i could just make our lazy healers do it but then again we also happen to have tank deaths during positioning as well so i try to relief pressure off them as much as possible.
