According to this site, Expertise is rated quite low on the stat priority scale. I have the opportunity to replace my Castle Breaker's Battleplate (chest) with a Tier 10.5 chest. In so doing, I could maintain my four-set bonus while allowing me to replace my T10.25 pants with the Legplates of Painful Death. The Team Robot simulator suggests that this would result in a DPS gain, but I am leery because this would drop my Expertise from 26 to 16. I've always proceeded under the assumption that I have to cap Hit Rating and Expertise, then follow the stat priority listed here on the site. Should I buy into what the simulator is telling me even though it runs against my gut reaction? I kind of want to dump the T10.25 legs because NONE of the BIS leg armor for death knights is the Tier gear....the BIS slots recommended here put the Tier gear on head, shoulders, chest, and gloves.

Ainadi,
It's been stated many times if you are DPSing as Unholy then Expertise is not something you have to be too worried about yes some is going to help you but you will not suffer a DPS loss dropping fromt eh Soft Cap of 26 to an Expertise of 16.
If you are DW Frost Build this is a different story as DPS in this build is more relient on Expertise to maximise it.
So in essence if you are Unholy make the change it's a massive DPS gain for you.
The Tier legs for Deathknights is honestly only good for Blood DPS or Frost DPS builds and even then there is much better choices available the Chest on the other hand is a BiS Slot item and well worth the purchase.
