I think blizzard is doing a good thing with the totem of wrath change to all fire totems but I think they need to make a few more changes. First need to make enh less choppy and dependent on ghost wolves for burst dps, they need to make ele shams good >> and I just love all the resto sham changes...
I have used the spread sheet and iam haveing a little problem, i input all of my gear and the gems i have then it shows what gems would be optimal, so i switch them and the gem reccemendations change. what am i doing wrong? here is my charector link The World of Warcraft Armory - Leftblindeye @ Burning Blade - Profile
I just want to make sure i have the correct gems, if anyone could help me i would appreciate it very much.thank you
Regarding pet food buff, spiced mammoth treats, it seems that applying this buff to my pet doesn't upgrade the buff from demonic knowledge ( 30 stamina ~ 3 sp ). Instead that, i have to resummon my pet wich causes the buff to update, is this normal or im missing something?
It's been skated around in this thread and other places, but for me I prefer 10mans vastly, but due to my competetive nature if I want to get decent rankings in 10man raids I need to do 25mans to stay gear-competetive. Now I don't have to spend all that time in 25mans in order to enjoy my 10's.
For those that say "but you can be a strictly 10-man guild", yes but then your doing end-bosses the first week it's out on 10man and people in 25 (outgearing it) are laughing at you wiping because they don't understand... Yes part of my enjoyment is derived from what people, that are stupid, think of me.
Not to mention, for an addictive person like myself it is a slippery slope going from 1 day of 3hours a week, to 3-4 days raiding (too much time)
I deleted my characters a couple months back, and just got them restored because I love the idea of 1 lockout, same loot.
It won't be long before I am able to replace my NMIC with Muradin's Spyglass (heroic), Phylactery, or the new Ruby Sanctum trinket. What I would like to know is, considering the large amount of extra damage afforded to our corruption, would these trinkets actually be an upgrade in a fight where keeping Corruption from falling off is a trivial task?
Hey guys, quick question, regarding RAWR and a couple items.
Recently ran a setup with H BQ neck piece for the expertise, but I aquired the H Arthas sword last night.
RAWR is now telling me that H Charge of the Demon Lord is more dps, im assuming because of the agi/haste ect over the capped expertise/ arm pen.
But, im still comparing a lvl277 to 258 and I would think that the sheer amount of strength on the H BQ item would win out and rawr would be saying to glyph exorcism.
here is the file if you would like to take a look, thanks in advance.
Rawr is correct in this case. Strength is good, but you have one totally wasted stat and another that isn't very ideal on the BQ neck, where as you make full use of the Charge (plus, we are talking about an AGI item here, which by definition will be better until 4.0 due to itemization rules).
I am hoping for a bit of help here. I have spent the last few hours sorting through the threads and reading what most of you have had to say. Simply put, I am a little overwhelmed. The information I am looking for seems to be scattered through many posts and I get lost a bit.
Basically, I don't want to suck as a Destruction Warlock. Info on this class, build and rotation is kind of intimidating. My warlock's name is Kreature on the Maelstrom server. I currently have a 3.1K whgs but have issues breaking the 5K dps and I am wondering if it's just a fail rotation or something I have neglected in my build. I am just going to break it down a bit and see what you all have to say.
Before a battle begins I activate glyph of life tap then CoE/CoD (dependent on the party/raid make up) immolate, chaos bolt, conflag, then spam incinerate until immolate is at about 1 second then start over from immolate. I have OCD when it comes to maintaining life tap.
As for my build, i have neglected shadow bolt in favor of fel synergy and demonic aegis. I am currently above the hit cap, my crit is above 30%, and I am currently working on increasing haste. Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. I love my lock, I just want him to love me back.
(edit) I DID just realize I can replace two arpen gems and use Hearty Rhino, but should I go further than that?
(edit again) Made the two gem replacement. My main concern right now is that with raid buffs I believe I am full-on crit-capped at my current hit level (expertise is pretty much capped now).
In my opinion - you shouldn't.
I think it is always better to gem for the hardcap, than to reach it with food. Just in case, you are dying, you would play with 1360 ArPen, and as everyone knows, or should know, the last points of ArPen support us with the most dps+.
I understand everyone, who says, he likes to gem for the hitcap / expcap. I would LOVE to have these 2 caps, but for max dps it ain't the best way.
I think we all should just wait for gear. I do. I know i'm having quite the most sucking gear in my guild, but i get it up to 15-16k dps on Saurfang, that's ok. When we are trying LK Hero im @ Rank 1 - 5 concerning Dmg-Done to the LK, that's ok for me, and as i am using Distant Land as my favorite DPS Weapon (i have Crypt Maker / Bloodfall / Oathbinder nh and the thing dropping from the council in 10heroic), which has no arp at all, i am waiting for the Oathbinder Heroic, which makes a LOT of things MUCH easyer. I am at the hardcap though even gemming some hit ( The World of Warcraft Armory - Saktallar @ Nera'thor - Profile ) and it's ok for me. I'm wearing that crap ring since December, so thats ok for me too. Comes time, comes gear In the end, for me it will look like that:
Arp Cap > Hit Cap = Exp Cap > Haste = Crit Cap.
The Crit Cap comes automatically when wearing the Saurfang trinket and 277 Heroic gear, Hitcap is something you have to gem for.
That should be a better spec for you. Keep in mind with your HR that you may only need 14% hit if you've got a boomy or Spriest in your group so be prepared to change out hit pieces for DPS pieces as needed. You will also regen more mana requiring less life taps and since you have a hard time remember to LT anyways this is a win win. As far as rotation goes the one I use is about the same. Basically keep Immolate up and blow your Chaos Bolt and Conflag CD's as they come up. Incinerate for filler. Don't worry about shadowbolt, that's for the other two lock specs, Not destro.
O, one more thing, in general going with SP/Haste gem is better than pure haste. Simply because with a pure haste gem you get 20 points. Whereas with a SP/haste gem(reckless ametrine) you get 22 points(12sp+10haste).
Sorry if this was already covered but i could not find anything relevant in this mess :P
My guild raids with 3 hunters usually and since i am the one with the lowest gear i will spec into Improved Hunter' s Mark to boost the rest. I was wondering if the glyph of hunter' s mark is worth it and if so which glyph should i replace. Currently i am using Serpent Sting, Kill shot, Steady Shot gluphs.
"Really, cloth isn't the issue, since cloth wearers have spells to buff their mitigation. Leather wearers are the ones who end up the most fragile. Mail would be bad too except that shaman can use shields when needed and hunters typically don't get hit by melee much. We just want to bring things a little closer to each other. It's easier to establish a baseline for how hard a particular attack should hit for when one dps spec isn't literally four times as survivable as another. " - Ghostcrawler
I was reading bluepots and came across this tidbit. Does this imply that enhnace/elemental shamans will be getting another type of shield? at the moment i can;t think of a shield that helps mitigate damage so i assume this is either a mistake or a slip that shamym will eb gettign anotehr shield.
