I think you've missed the Think Tank article then. It has a BiS section. Make sure you read the section on HEP Values too, as it is needed to understand how the BiS list is formed.

It won't be long before I am able to replace my NMIC with Muradin's Spyglass (heroic), Phylactery, or the new Ruby Sanctum trinket. What I would like to know is, considering the large amount of extra damage afforded to our corruption, would these trinkets actually be an upgrade in a fight where keeping Corruption from falling off is a trivial task?

In my opinion - you shouldn't.
I think it is always better to gem for the hardcap, than to reach it with food. Just in case, you are dying, you would play with 1360 ArPen, and as everyone knows, or should know, the last points of ArPen support us with the most dps+.
I understand everyone, who says, he likes to gem for the hitcap / expcap. I would LOVE to have these 2 caps, but for max dps it ain't the best way.
I think we all should just wait for gear. I do. I know i'm having quite the most sucking gear in my guild, but i get it up to 15-16k dps on Saurfang, that's ok. When we are trying LK Hero im @ Rank 1 - 5 concerning Dmg-Done to the LK, that's ok for me, and as i am using Distant Land as my favorite DPS Weapon (i have Crypt Maker / Bloodfall / Oathbinder nh and the thing dropping from the council in 10heroic), which has no arp at all, i am waiting for the Oathbinder Heroic, which makes a LOT of things MUCH easyer. I am at the hardcap though even gemming some hit ( The World of Warcraft Armory - Saktallar @ Nera'thor - Profile ) and it's ok for me. I'm wearing that crap ring since December, so thats ok for me too. Comes time, comes gear In the end, for me it will look like that:
Arp Cap > Hit Cap = Exp Cap > Haste = Crit Cap.

The Crit Cap comes automatically when wearing the Saurfang trinket and 277 Heroic gear, Hitcap is something you have to gem for.

I was reading bluepots and came across this tidbit. Does this imply that enhnace/elemental shamans will be getting another type of shield? at the moment i can;t think of a shield that helps mitigate damage so i assume this is either a mistake or a slip that shamym will eb gettign anotehr shield.
