anyways, i have a dumb question. i see alot of warriors capping arp at 96% instead of 100%/1400, any particular reason, they are below? are they just using food/elixir to get the rest of the needed arp, or is it that insignificant or a change..
My question is on the value of haste vs. Armor penetration. As you can see in my build, currently I do not have any gear with haste, though I do have some on me that I could use, but I do indeed have quite a bit of ArP and was intending to hit cap. Right now I have roughly 90% ArP and was wondering if there has been any new information on ArP, or more so I was wondering if I should definitely avoid haste right now untill I hit cap, or should start adding it in now.
My main goal is to hit 100% ArP and still have roughly 200-ish haste, as most frost dk's I see who do close to as much single target dps as me with way less arp have about that much haste.
The main question is, with the amount of ArP I have right now, should I definitely go straight for pieces with more ArP till I hit cap, or could I pick up haste along the way and not kill myself?
And second part, is has there been anymore study into ArP vs strength? I originally switched to ArP gems when I had hit about 900 rating with just gear alone, and I noticed a SLIGHT increase in dps, but since then, as I've accumulated even more, I've noticed leaps in dps on fights like Saurfang, Fester/Rot, and BQL. Was just wondering if anything definite has come into play yet.
Only recently got back to playing the game and I have to say I love this change to the shaman class. At least we are now only reliant on our Aoe totem for the buff and don't have to lure players/mobs into there range
I would just like to add that I use the t10 4pc bonus and although it nets higher dps popping a free envenom on proc, I tend to use it for Expose armor as we do 10-man HC and there isn't a warrior in the raid to sunder thus giving the raid higher dps instead of me pulling off another envenom.
Thought it might be a good thing to add to the overall raid effect, I've nothing to prove that it's more benefitial but in my head it makes more sense that 4 other dps doing more damage > better than another envenom. I was reading up on people using it for rupture & another envenom etc and thought it might be worthwhile bringing up EA as it does a good job when you don't have a specific class in the raid and probably gives the raid higher dps considering it is the same target that's being attacked.
Yep, most ppl go up to 1360 ArP and use ArP food. Tough I don't think it makes any difference if you drop 2 STR gems in favor of 2 ArP gems and use STR food instead.
Now I can't decide wether to drop the faction ring and get Might of Blight or to move one point from Precision to Enrage, guess I'll just have to try it out, get the uptime for Enrage on LK and do some math.
I have tried several Combinations of Macros to ease the casting of multiple IT, PS, Pest, Use trinks, and a RS in hopes of coming up with a one button touch to cycle through them all as they cool down. I cant seem to get the Macro to work. The build is a follows:
/cast sequence reset=8
/alt Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Pestilence
/cast Rune Strike
I can do about 4-5K on average DPS with topping out at 8-11K with the Right buffs and hitting the rotation just right, but cannot sustain that kind of DPS.
I have tried several Combinations of Macros .... Does anyone have any Suggestions ...
If you really want to maximize your DPS, don't use such a macro, and keybind at least all your important frost DPS abilities. Then practice on a dummy until these keybinds become natural and you don't have to think for more than 1 second what key to hit next.
The only thing you should have macroed to all abilities is rune strike.
ok so im just wondering why some rogues are telling me to switch to arp gems.i use the ap gems and im pulling 8.5 to 10kdps on bosses but is there a big jump there?
i don't thinks its that much of a dps jump can someone help with this plz.
I have an elemental shaman with a 5500 gear score. I am well gemmed and enchanted. I can't seem to rais my DPS up over around 4k! People are always telling me to fix my rotation. The rotation seems simple enough, Flameshock, lava burst, and spam the lightning bolts... I should be pulling waay more DPS though...
I gain through the life tap glyph and my fel armor (with Demonic Aegis talent) for 10spirit = 6,5spellpower (Blessing of Kings include), so if the socket bonus is +5spellpower for a blue socket I gain 12+5+6,5 = 23,5sp when I use a 12sp + 10spirit socket instead of a 23sp socket. But why my theory-tools say it's better to ignore the socket bonus?
Unsure where else to put this, are you sure Fallen Crusader is the best rune to engrave? i was messing about in the ebon hold and found that if i use Cinderglacer, i get about 500dps more than if i was using Fallen Crusader!
