Arakan, I like your idea about the signup system. I never used Google Docs before, so can I ask you if there is some way to copy those and adapt them myself? If you don't mind, of course.

Finished the ToC25 raid yesterday succesfully. The most people interested was equipped mains and poor people. Thus very little was sold, and the pot was really low. But people was very happy, and word spread about it. I'll try to do another raid next weekend.

I'm new to this spreadsheet business.

I'm an 80 Orc Rogue .

I have put in my talenst, but when I go to the Gear tab, I can't find any of my pvp gear or weapons.

Am I missing something?

I downloaded the spreadsheet from page 1.

Also, my glyphs are not there either? Well, hemo was, but others aren't. (vigor and Shd)

I friend of mine keeps complaining about how squishy he feels as a warrior tank at H-LK, so this might be one reason of your troubles. It seems paladins, druids and dks are much easier to be kept alive on this fight.

Spreadsheets do not support pvp gear. Even if they did, the results would be irrelevant. There are no rules, proper arrangements, or quantifiable goals to pvp gear or specs.

The spreadsheet on page 1 has not been updated for a significant period of time. If you still want to use a spreadsheet for something, the newest version is contained in Vef's signature directly above your post. Still, your dps on the spreadsheet will have almost nothing to do with your damage done in arena or bgs. Pvp doesn't even use the same calculations.

I have a few questions concerning the recent patch in the past week. Before the patch I was pushing 12.7k DPS in my 10's and 14K in 25's Topping the charts in my guild for 90% of the fight in ICC. But, after the recently patch my dps has taken a major down fall, I've regemed several times over and and swapped in several different combinations of weapons and armor, nothing is working, I can barely seem to push 10-11k anymore, I'm the highest geared rogue in our guild.

Here is my current setup:

My current spec.

my rotation is:

Stealth->Mutilate->Hunger->SnD->Mutilate->Envenom->Mutilate->Mutilate->Envenom

Rinse and Repeat my Mutilate->Mutilate->Envenom until my first Overkill drops then I vanish

I keep Hunger for Blood and refresh it at 5 sec.

I am starting to throw in Rupture, this is the only way that can barely push me up to 10.9-11K, it looks like:

Stealth->Mutilate->Hunger->SnD->Mutilate->Envenom->Mutilate->Mutilate->Envenom

Mutilate->Mutilate->Envenom->Mutilate->Mutilate->Rupture->Mutilate->Mutilate->Envenom

If anyone has any ideas or mistakes that I am doing wrong, such as my gemming and or gear combinations please help me out. I'm completely clueless as to my predicament.

A bit of background info:

My hunter was carried through icc25 for around 5 weeks to get him to the point of gear that he is. When first brought into icc, he had 17 hours /played.

In my first 2 VoA25 runs I managed to pick up my Sanctified Gloves and Leggings (the legs I'm not using but are sitting in my bag, waiting to be used for the 4pc.) Since buying the 251 Shoulders will result in a loss of stats, I held out and waited till I obtained another 95 Emblems.

Finally I've come up with another 95 Emblems of Frost that I want to use to purchase my t10 Chest Piece. The only problem is the fact that going from the 232 T9 chest to the 251 T10 chest is that I lose 55 hit rating. Losing this 55 Hit Rating will put me at 221 (6.74%). To achieve the hit cap again, I'd need to put 2 points into Focused Aim. I'd gladly do so, I'm just wondering where I should take the points out of.

Basically I'm wondering what 2 points I should relocate to Focused Aim.

As a general rule of thumb, you shouldn't use Rupture when geared and spec'ed for Mutilate. With a 51/18/2 spec, you have no talents that increase the damage of Rupture, and the combo points you need to spend to keep Rupture running, means less uptime on your Envenom buff, which is bad.

With your current gear, I'd suggest a very standard +4 Envenom rotation. Pooling your energy and making sure every Envenom buff runs for its entirety, are both key to winning at life as a Mutilate rogue

Enhancement Question

This has been bugging me for a while. On fights like PP or LK where you cannot guarantee that your target will be in range of the totem for Fire Nova, is it better to just ignore Fire Ele and stick with Magma Totem?

When I run EnhSim on my gear for a single target fight, I get results of:
Fire Nova 400 DPS
Magma Totem 300 DPS
Fire Elemental 800 DPS

So I suppose the answer is "yes, always use fire ele" based on those numbers, but human advice is always nice. Any situations in which this tactic would not be optimal?

I had a feeling. Considering that there are fresh 80's, and then others in full wrathful sets, damage would differ significantly.
Now I understand why sub spreadsheet not there, not as good as other specs for pve. Penny dropped.

PS: my pvp gear is better than my pve

Its so weird, just yesterday me and a fellow mage were discussing dps rotaions, gear, just plain Vent Theorycrafting, and I made the comment "Why don't you ever see Frost Mages in raids?" Then I get on EJ, and low and behold! Thank you for clearing up some questions I had, and have a wonderful day.

From a pure dps perspective your best choice would be to get the Icewalker enchant on your boots and to put only one point in Focused Aim.

If you don't have to provide the replenishment buff to your raid you should skill 2/3 in Hunting Party. But if you do the best way to get the one point is to skill only one point into Expose Weakness. When you're getting a higher critrate (maybe at 60% unbuffed) the second choice becomes the best anyhow.

Everyone says for mutilate AP or AP/HASTE. now im a gearing rogue with a 5k gs, no ICC Gear yet its an alt.

In my tier 9 and other pieces being hit capped and having a expertise rating of 23 currently. What should I aim for in gems

I cant really find definitive answers between the haste/AP mix which is better to stack at such a lower gear score, i keep reading AT ICC GEAR that Haste ends up being better then AP due to gears scales but any comment would be appreciated.

honestly im just confused. if someone could assist me id appreciate it =)
