Hey guys, I just recently lvl'd and starting gearing my warrior in preparation for ICC, and while I know how to itemize I'm not exactly sure where to min and max in a few places and I was hoping I might get a little help with that and what particular items (and possible enchant/gem changes) might be the best set up for my current build.

I feel at an average of 6k dps in 25 mans I'm missing something somewhere, and it's not my rotation. I never miss a slam proc, heroic strike/cleave is always queued up if I have the rage to spare, glyphed and spec'd accordingly so this isn't an issue. So it has to be gear.

Here's my armory link, I last logged out in prot gear so I'll give you a run down of my gear here.

Weapons: 2x Tyrannical Beheader both with Berserking Enchants and +20 Arp Socketed
Ranged: Crimson Star
Head: Faceplate of Thunderous Rampage Enchant: +50 Ap and +15
Crit Sockets: Chaotic Skyflare Diamond and +35 Arp
Neck: Broach of the Wailing Night
Chest: Titanium Razorplate Enchant: +10 Stats Sockets: +20 arp x3
Shoulder's: Ymirjar Lord's Shoulderplates Enchant: +40 AP and +15 Crit Socket: +20 Arp
Back: Might of the Ocean Serpent Enchant: +22 Agility Socket: Nightmare Tear
Wrists: Titanium Spikeguards Enchant: +15 Expertise Socket: +10 Expertise and + 15 Stamina
Hands: Helllscream's Gauntlets of Conquest Enchant: +15 Expertise Socket: + 20 Arp
Waist: Belt of the Singing Blade Enchant: Eternal Belt Buckle Socket: +20 Expertise
Legs: Legplates of Painful Death Enchant: +75 AP and + 22 Crit Sockets: +20 Arp x2 +35 Arp

1st Ring: Ring of Rotting Sinew Socket: +20 Expertise

1st Trinket: Needle-Encrusted Scorpion

I'm severely lacking gear with expertise so I've had to gem and enchant expertise more than I'd like, and I don't want to risk losing more arp so lately I've been using expertise elixirs and food to make up for it, my trinkets could be easily upgraded and well in general the toon need work.

In the next couple weeks I'll be obtaining Shadow's Edge and at least my friendly ring from Ashen Verdict but I'd like some advice on what I can do right now to improve, what Frost Emblem items I should aim for first, what enchants and gems I should aim for.

Would it be better for me to buy t10 gloves with this set up so I get two piece bonus now, or consider replacing one of my trinkets with Herkuml War Token, which is hear is better than either of my current trinkets? And would it at all be a good idea to regem to expertise softcap?

Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

Just look at the ScaleValues and the Values each Buff Food gives.
46 SP vs 40 Crit vs 40 Haste
with SV
SP >= Haste > Crit

It is obvious, that SP-Food (Fish Feast) is <obvious Overall Winner>

Was just wondering what you guys think about this build. It was an experimental 2H frost build. I have run a few instances with it and i must say it makes big crits..! I used it with Bryntoll and Shadow edge weapon and must say the shadow edge give really big blows.. With the hast make it the kina awsome build.

i think 2h frost build has been discussed pages ago and the results are not as high as dw frost
i myself have tried to sim quite a few times with 2h frost but such build always comes behind dw frost about 200 dps

Also, using ABarr completely negates 2t10, which has a 40 % chance to proc-this wasn't taken into consideration in the thread I linked, as it was done pre-t10. So by using ABarr you're missing out on the chance for MBarr and ptl, as well as doing less dps.
Abarr still has a 20% chance for Mbarr, and the only reason you'd cast it is to clear your stacks so you don't run out of mana trying to proc Mbarr when it just doesn't happen.

What the thread doesn't show is that ABarr does let you get back to stacking ABs much faster than an unhasted AM will.

well im a relatively new paladin healer, and still fail to understand some of a paladins mechanics so i lean heavily on flash of light. to be honest very rarely ever use holy light..i have heard and seen many paladins with experience lean both ways...either on holy light or flash of light. i dont think making flash of light more expensive is a good idea as they already stated its a faster more expensive heal. also, paladins IMO dont need much more raid healing ability..beacon as it stands now make it much easier to help with raid heals. if i had the opportunity to suggest anything it would be to leave things the way they are....and simply add a group heal to the holy tree as well as this alleged healing aura, problem solved if you ask me. i also feel that making all healing classes able to do "everything" is fair but i like having a specialty so to speak. its why we chose characters..it forces us to put thought into raid construction etc. rather then just getting 4 healers for a raid.

Yea, AA procs late. Sequence of crits and AA was : HW1 - HW2 - AA1 - AA2 - HW3 - AA3 - RT4 - AA4.
This log also proves that AA does not double dip with HW glyph. Procs off only the original HW, not the Glyph heal. And instead of using this glyph, you can better rely on AA to heal you. Does a better job. Or use RT on self.

This post is completely false. It has been proven time and again (and you can easily load up Rawr and check yourself) that even when Mbarr does not proc at the end of your ABx4 cycle, it is still better to cast AM than Abarr. Just because "it takes too long to end", does not mean it's not the better choice.

You only use Abarr when you have to move.

Glyph and rotation

LOve the spec but i would not recomend for new players/ raiders. I would recommend unholy because of the easier rotations. It is good as long as the player can make sure the make the full use of their procs. Also I use same minor glyphs but I use icy touch instead of frost strike because the less runic cost i usually hav a lot of runic power even when dumping constantly. Also i find it great to use the glyph of howling blast becaus ei find when rime procs u use it to apply frost fever then u can use unbreakable armor without messing up your rotation or wasting ur empowered rune weapon. Thats just how I do things but if not for your post i wouldnt off found my own way to use the spec.

umm question

Would this spec be better than a frost dw spec. If so that would be awesome because i have loved unholy since i started to get points to put in my talent tree way back at the death knight starting zone.

Ummmm for healin which seal and glyph combo.... the glyph of seal light ( effect of healing spells increased by 5%) with seal of light.... or glyph of seal of wisdom ( decreases the cost of healing spells by 5% ) with seal of wisdom im runnin currently a flash of light build because im still gearin and would really like your in put.

Rotation for a Muti Rogue. I've done some searching around and alot of people say skip out on rupture so its simply get SND up then mash muti/envenom.

But on the Spread sheet for muti, it suggests glyphing rupture, where does this fit into my rotation or should i just not use it?

Current rotation would be from stealth, Garrote, HFB,SND,MUTI to 4 or 5 combo points then envenom. while poping stuff like coldblood, and trinkets and hyper speed acccelerators during the fight or at times with bloodlust to get most beneficial results.

The only spot I can figure to put it in would be from stealth Garrote,HFB,SND,MUTI to 4 or 5 combo points, Envenom, Muti to 4 or 5 combo points then rupture.

But when testing this on the dummy it didnt seem to up my dps. Am I doing something wrong? Because its on the spread sheet.

I also was wondering about the Ahune cloaks that drop - I keep leaning towards the Strength one since it has such high expertise and im a tad low on expertise sitting at 18/18 atm.

I cant agree with the BiS list on first page for Frost DPS with ArPen gemming, i have been simulating a lot on Kahories with 2 DBW (to simulate the Sharpened Twilight Scale), and i cant find the exatly setup ..., witch Offpiece i use, the fight is between Leather Gloves and Plate Leggings

Well, for a while is decided that i will use Aldriana's Gloves of Secrecy, instead of Scourge Reaver's Legplates.

In both cases while using Heroic Bloodvenom Blade, and Heroic Havoc Call. In first case with good hit rating, and in the second case, with only 171 hit rating, the gloves win.

Anyone has tryed to find the ideal setup ?

With Gloves offtier and 2 Bloodvenom blades 277 (235 hit rating)
DPS| 17327(+/- 4142) (25% ICC buff)

With gloves offtier and 2 Havoc Call 284 (171 hit rating)
DPS| 17543(+/- 4065) (25% icc buff)

(with gloves offtier it gets me overcaped on expertise because i am ORC when using havoc call, but later i will try to sim with the ArP/Crit necklace from ruby sanctum, when available)


with legs offtier and 2 Bloodvenoms blade 277 (using toskk`s wristguard, and with only 16 expertise) (this setup can use the new wrist that drops on ruby sanctum also).

DPS| 17233(+/- 4015) (25% icc buff)


with legs offtier and 2 Havoc Call 284 (213 hit rating) (21 expertise, and using Expertise/ArP cloak)
DPS| 17522(+/- 4026) (25% icc buff)



Anyone can share your thoughts about ?
