Ok, I admit this change is bad. Very bad.
For a great many reasons I (or anyone) might not want to divulge to the world that I play World of Warcraft, and whatever those reasons are it's my right to do so.
I'm certain the 1342+ pages of the official announcement of the feature in the official forums already shows how much people oppose this feature. In this post I propose yet another method of protest: a WoW strike.
Lets all show how discontent with this feature by emptying their servers from players 1 week after the official announcement of Real ID on the forums.
If you object to this feature, don't login on the 13th of July. Blizzard will certainly notice the uncommonly low server usage and they will know (because I will post this on official forums) what is the cause.
To spread the word, use the following macro on Trade (try to be civil and not spam it. Once a minute should be more than enough):

/2 WoW STRIKE: If you object to the RealID feature on the forums (showing your real name when you post), don't login to World of Warcraft on the 13th of July. Spread the word.

Spread the word on your server, spread the word on your guild, spread the word on your blog, spread the word on other forums. Spread the word. WoW will be empty of people against this feature on the 13th.
There are many reasons to be against this feature, but I'll only attack the stated reason for this change: lower trolling.
There are other ways to combat the amount of trolling, almost none of which involves giving out our real name (and all the implications of such an act) whenever we post in a recruit thread, or a support thread, or a LFM thread. Lower trolling
cannot come at the cost which giving out "my" real name on the Internet incurs. It simply
cannot.
As an alternative suggestion for this issue I can, off the top of my head, suggest that posters must always use the character with the most /played to post on forums. That way their posts will be associated with the character they play the most, supposedly their main. People who troll on level 1 chars, certainly do not with to show their main's face.
