It was confirmed by a CM in the german forum, that indeed a round of opt-in invites has gone out last night (GMT+1 here).

I was one of the lucky recipients and have already copied my charakters to the beta realm.
Sadly I have to spend another hour at work and still need to download the beta client.

I have had some issues raised by fellow players that I haven't been able to check out myself:

1: Unleashed Rage and WF+SoE totems (the totems that afaik are at the very least supposed to be raid wide) are being reported to still only affect the group, not the raid. Can anyone confirm or deny, and has it been reported as a bug? It was adressed back on page 9-10ish, but it bugs me that it might not be reported.
2: Has there been any updates on the swing timer reset of maelstrom weapon?

what you GAIN:
+50% crit dmg (spell power)
+150 spd on target (talent)
clear cast (same 10% chance as finger of frost, but free cast and only 30% + crit chance)
arcane power +30% dmg on 2 min cd
arcane instability +3% dmg\crit
+15% int
PoM
+10% spirit

I will re-do my talent tree and look into the heroics.
Although, I hate to loose "Spirit Bond" completely, I may go off the exact sample tree just a tad,
maybe 1 point in "Spirit Bond" and 1 in "Bestial Discipline"

I've been playing an ally spriest for the 3 years I've been playing. Me and a friend decided it was time to switch it up and move onto bigger, better things. What would be the best race to create a hunter with?

I am debating between Orc and Troll. . .Tauren racials are nice and all, i just see a much larger benift from the other two races.

Any ideas on which would be better:

Blood Fury + Hardiness + Command

or

Berserking + Regen + Bow Specialization

Let me know so i can begin to enjoy leveling again.

Oh and any thoughts on good leveling pets? I had a friend who ran all the way to Exodar to get a Ravenger. . . long run but would it be worth it to level with?

My favorite pet is a cat.
I have used a wolf, a ravager, and a warp stalker.
I like the cats best cause they can tank and dps.
I use mine as if it were the tank and I am the dps in our little 2 creature group.
But unlike with other pets like turtles, that are really tanks, you get the advantage of the great damage that cats do.
I personally wont use anything but a cat now, I have 2.
As far as troll and orc, I can't say.
I love my blood elf, I do not know enough about those two and their racial abilities.
I never use my blood elf racial, don't know if that is wrong of me.

Anyone from the EU opt-in had their characters copied yet? I did mine hours ago and it's still pending, though I guess there's a fair few people doing it.

This is ridiculous, my bro just got me playing again 2 days ago on a new account since I gave the old one away (activated a 2 month game card even) and now this comes out... :'(. Gonna page a gm and pray hes cool.

I highly doubt this is something a GM can fix. You can always cut your losses and make a new account?

I'll believe it when I see more than a typo fix under the Rogue Heading, till then it looks accurately that they are ignoring the class completely since all other classes have gotten a decent looking at and long posts regarding their statuses, yet Rogues are still being ignored.

I'm sorry, but I would not use rogue gear to tank end-game content. If I HAVE too that means that Blizzard doesn't know their own class and is very poor at itemization (been proven true in the pass, i know). Now please don't give me that : "rogues and druids uses the same item" crap because it doesn't cut it. I want items to corresponds to druids needs which ARE different then rogue needs...

since i saw this change on that talent Maelstrom Weapon I had only one thing on my mind its sinergy whit Lava Burst and Elemental Devastation since if im reading the tooltip on Lava Burst it is a garantied crit on every 5 stacks of the effect which will triger the Elemental Devastation and 9% dmg is 9% dmg

While 9% more dmg is 9% more dmg, 9% more crit is not 9% more dmg. Especially not 9% meleecrit.
