Hello there, just wanted to ask how are the arms warriors with 0 expertise doing on ICC?

You can armory me, as you can see I have expertise capped, few on gear, the 4expertise from Strenght of Arms talent and the 2% from Weapon Mastery talent. That puts me on 6.75% reduced chance to my attacks to be dodged(that is the important thing, not get an attack dodged)

I'm a casual player, so don't expect to see BiS from heroic :P. And I don't have the time to experiment and unequip every expertise item I have and see how it goes.

So anyone out there doing more than 13k(sustained dps) that is currently what I do in ICC 25, with 0 expertise or expertise undercapped ?

Having Righteous Fury up, however, will increase my my holy spells to increase threat by 80%. Is it safe to use this in ICC? Which bosses should this NOT be used in? How do you guys utilize Righteous Fury effectively?
I have RF up at all bosses except Deathwhisper, Saurfang and Valithria. At those encounters I got problems with the adds. For Blood Queen I activate it after a few seconds, so that I am not third or second at the boss threat.

You could test these:

#showtooltip
/cast Righteous Fury
/cancelaura Righteous Fury

or

#showtooltip
/cast[btn:1] Righteous Fury
/cancelaura [btn:2] Righteous Fury

(left click puts it on, right takes it off)

I am not shure if these will work, I have no chance to test them now.

Is this what you do? Or do you let Divine Sacrifice do its thing? If so, do you use bubble in conjunction with this?
For DS I use the following macro:

#show
#showtooltip
/cancelaura Divine Sacrifice
/cast Divine Sacrifice

Hitting it two times will apply the raid-buff and cancel DS on you on second hit.
When I have a bubble up, I won't cancel DS on myself.

I use HoS very rarely, but if I do, I have a bubble up every time. It might be a good idea to HoS the tank if you have to bubble anyway and the gcd is free (if you have to move for example).

Hysteria increases physical damage, so it'd affect: Death Knight, Feral Druid, [Marksman] Hunter, Rogue, and Warrior.
I haven't heard it being used on an Enhancement Shaman.
Typically ask your raid leader where he wants Hysteria placed, and then coordinate with that DPS so they can stack it with their cooldowns and maximize damage dealt.

replacing t9 for other piece?

i was wondering if the 4 piece set bonus is worth keeping...
i want to replace the t9 helm and shoulder for better gears -[Mask of Lethal Intent] and [Duskstalker Pauldrons]

is it worth giving up 5% mutilate crit for these gears?

-edit-
oh and should i use two [Unsharpened Ice Razor] or one of that with [Black Knight's Rondel] since i think mutilate dmg comes from weapon's dmg and not the dps >.>

This has been an amazing thread. I have learned a lot of good info and my dps has been upped considerably because of it. However, I am in a but of a situation. I currently run a Unholy and a Frost spec (both dps). I love both of them, but love frost considerably more. I am being asked in my guild to pick up tanking and have decided I will tank again after I get my T10 set built (currently have 1 of 4). The problem with me dropping one of my dps specs is that my unholy gear has my (newly obtained) Shadow's Edge.

I like Frost dps more than Unholy, but often I am the only DK in my 10 man. So if I drop unholy, not only will my raid not get the buffs, but I would also have a Shadow's Edge in my inventory not being used....what a waste of Primordials. Any advice or comments here would be a big help.

sacrifice + beacon

As long as you have beacon on the tank, you can usually safely use Hand of Sacrifice on him or her, or even use Divine Sacrifice, and simply heal yourself. This sounds a lot riskier than it actually is. As long as you are spamming yourself with heals, the amount of transferred damage, at least in my experience, is nowhere near enough to put you in any serious danger, even in the case of a heroic Festergut 25 with three inhales. The obvious benefit of this is that you can save your Divine Shield for something else.
Now, you should definitely still exercise caution, because dying is a lot worse than bubbling when you don't necessarily need to. Also, this strategy is much less viable in situations where you are responsible for healing multiple tanks who are taking heavy damage at the same time, such as Marrowgar, Blood Princes, or Blood Queen Lana'thel.

Hello, i got [Plague-Soaked Leather Leggings] @ last raid and i want to replace [Leggings of the Broken Beast] with it. But if i do that i'll be missing with a lot of hit till cap (i'll have only 181 hit). Should i place ap+hit gems in this legs? Or it's better to ignore it now and just put 3x +40 ap gems

I find myself getting near energy capped during bloodlust using heroic heartpierce. I'll use an envenom, but a relentless strikes proc will keep me dangerous to cap. Is it a better idea to just throw up a 4 point rupture or to clip my envenom buff?

According to SimulationCraft speccing and using rupture at very high gear levels with heartpierce is a dps increase.
Everyone may not agree.

Not sure if I missed this or not but was wondering what combination of professions would be optimal with blacksmithing being changed around a bit. I am more curious about frost and unholy. Thanks

great thread. i'm just curious as to a comparison of blood, frost, and unholy dps. i've heard their relatively the same and i'm not sure if a sim would accurately compare the three specs.

for the meta 21agil and 3%crit. you have to have a blue so no matter what you'll be losing 10 str/20AP. crit is nice and all but agil isnt that important to Dks, str/ap is what we need to worry about. that being said, i go with the pvp oriented meta 42ap and 3%run speed increase. now of course the run speed is useless but the bonus is, you get to keep a red/yellow slot and not waste 10 str on 10 stam.comparing the two it comes out to this.

21 agil, 3% crit, -20 AP --- 42 AP.

you tell me which one you think is better. again crit is nice but not what dks are supposed to focus on.

that would make things better but still you'd be losing out on str/ap. nightmare tear= 10str pls bonus =16 str so 16 str 21 agi and 3%crit. or 20str, 42ap. thats 32ap with some agil and crit for 82 ap. do you really wanna sacrifice 50 ap for some crit and agil?

Sigh...another DK who does not understand his class.

1% hit because dran = 6% hit
+
3% hit from NoCS = 9% hit
3% Spell Hit from Virulence = 9% spell hit

Expertise cap is 26.
