I had understood that "Banes" were going to be a third kind of dot? where you can use a curse, a bane and somehitng like seed. is that not what it is?

Does anyone have some specific advise on strict add tanking for Halion HM? We're going to give it a shot tonight and they've asked me to step in, but I'll probably be stuck on add duty. Just mainly looking for help with best way to position/pick them up safely. Also not totally sure if the big ones have any special surprises? Thanks.

Was thinking something like this for a spec: The World of Warcraft Armory
I should be okay without IIT because our Unholy DK will always have it up.

Glyphs: DnD, IT (or RS), and VB.

Maybe I'm just reading things wrong and I'm not seeing what I should be seeing. I tried adding the damage done in the dps reports for MH windfury (hits + crits) and then compared to offhand flame tongue (hits + crits).

Has anyone considered putting flame tongue on their main hand too? It seems like that would increase overall DPS. Unless of course I am misinterpreting the data and not reading it correctly.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread/right forum for this kind of speculation but does the new rockbiter wep enchant strike anyone else as being surprisingly tank-y? I assume rockbiter will still phase itself out early level but does anyone else have any added insight to this? I don't see threat generation as useful in early game levelling.

Rockbiter is trained at level 75 in the current beta build. You start out with flametongue weapon for your early (1-10) levels.

Ok just a quick question about shadowmourne proc. I heard something about canceling chaos bane and that its good to do. Why, and does it improve dps much?

Away from treants discussion.
My napkin math shows that treants are anyway better cast right before combat if bloodlust/heroism is hit after the pull (which is most common strategy in top raiding guilds). I've been calculating the effectivness of waiting for a DFO proc to cast starfall. If the combat went on forever then waiting even 1 second is a dps loss. If you are sure that waiting X seconds would not make you cast 1 starfall less during the fight then it might be worth it. So general rule of thumb for me is if DFO is stacking up and I know that waiting for 8 or less seconds won't make me cast less starfires, then I delay it. However if we are speaking about LK25HM I would just cast it on the move when valks are up, or on halion 25HM when small adds are picked up before hurricaning them.
My point is, there are very few fights where waiting for some proc is worth delaying treants/starfall.
About the crit/haste haste/haste trinket discussion. Wrathcals already covers the problem where wrath goes under 1sec even without NG. And haste is still better if you are crit capped. And I don't see any problem gearing towards crit cap and both trinkets giving haste, even for my badly equipped moonking (wearing healer waist and haste/hit ring).

Hm, it rawr is saying that heroic Bryntoll does more dps than heroic Bloodfall. Is this accurate? I was going by what the OP says for weapon rankings.

Considering that all other interrupts are, I'm 99.99% certain it is. But it would be nice if we could get someone who's on the beta to confirm.

I ask why get rid of 96969?

I mean I played a warrior for years and I am really enjoying my Pally as its less drama and more relaxed tanking

Now I have procs and combo points? Why change a class into a warrior? I mean a warrior is getting consecrate!

also what's with the latest stating our divine protection is now only 20% damage reduction and on a 1 minute cooldown?

Why does my dps vary so much, ive followed the guide and got the unholy/frost spec, i got all t9 but 1 piece, enchants gems all that. but for some reason my dps varys from 2.5k to 4k. should it be that low? could it be my hit rating hurting me that much? its at 130

edit: my armory link The World of Warcraft Armory - Luthiann @ Executus - Profile

Also sometimes my skills such as ss, bs, it is on a 3-5 second cooldown and i have to wait, is that normal?

First, yeah that is normal... as stated above, fill with HoW, AMS, BS, etc...

Second, looking at your set-up, I'm wondering about your hit rating. DK cap is ~8% and yours is currently sitting at less than 4%. Fix that and then test your set-up again.

They seem to want to force us, at least that's what it looks to me, to pick up Primal Wisdom with that latest SR change.

Can't wait to get my hands on the beta to give this a spin in some 5man.

So, I believe "Primary Skill" and "Masteries" are two words for the same thing. As such, can someone confirm what the current Primary Skills are in build 12604? I'm wondering if they took out one of the existing skills or just added Shamanism into something.
